Amazing for my 2018 Wrx!!!
The shine of this tint is near glossy. So nice! I will say though, the pictures are deceiving. I was hoping this was a bit darker. It’s probably somewhere around a 35-45% tint. So, not very dark at all. I will say though, the color of this tint is TRULY grey. I love it. A few days prior, I bought the premium Auto style tint for my headlights, tailights, and front lower turn signals...and that film was hazy satin/matte, and is was a yellowish brown hue of dark grey/black. It was disgusting. Instead, I was turned onto this vvivid tint by a youtuber, and am so very happy with the quality of this product. The color is great, I was able to do this dry with zero bubble! My fiancé was my helping hand, and I owe it to her for keeping this bubble free by pulling on the two corners as I slowly worked my way around every nook and cranny. It took to heat well. Don’t get too close, or stay in one area to long to avoid burning a hole through. I was able to order 2 kits of this, and was able to get enough to tint my headlights, tailights, and lower turn signals in the front. I was amazed at how shiny these sheened once I finished and stepped back to look. I am so happy. Suggestion, make this medium smoke tint just a tad bit darker. Maybe like 25-30%. Just slightly darker than the percent that it comes now, but obviously lighter than the dark tint kit you sell. Regardless, I’m amazed at the easy of use to apply, and the quality and shine of the finished product!!

Easy to use as long as you take your time.
Just wrapped my headlights and tail lights a few days ago so I cant really post much about longevity of the product. As far as using it on headlights I do not suggest the Dark Smoke for headlight use unless you enjoy barely being able to see. You can see in my last pic how much light passes through and it isnt much and that's with 6500k LED bulbs installed. Dont get me wrong in the daylight it makes the truck look good but functionality is a no go. I will be wrapping them with the light smoke instead to see if it's any better. I wrapped my tail lights and it does allow enough light to transmit through but again thats with upgraded LED lighting. I'm not sure about standard bulbs being used how well the driver behind you would see your brake lights during the day. All in all I would say this is a good product. Definitely worth the price. As long as you take your time and use a heat gun it does come out nice. This is my first time ever wrapping headlights and tail lights. I opted to remove my fixtures and wrap them so that I could have more vinyl on the backside to ensure there would be less likelihood of it peeling.

Garbage.
Was hoping to wrap a helmet visor and figured this would be a professional product. This is not as described and does not apply anything like in the instructions or video. Half the product had creased imbedded in the film. At first I figured, well if stretches like they show then as soon as I "heat and stretch" maybe all the little veiny creases will disappear. I don't know what product they use in the video, but it is not the same product I received. This film has basically zero stretch and only shrivels and curls when heated leaving wilted looking surface. It behaves more like heat shrink and any attempt to "stretch" the film across the surface will only causes even more severe wrinkles. Multiple attempts ranging from a little heat (worried I would over heat), to a little more heat (because a little heat didn't work), to a lot of heat (thinking I wasn't heating enough). I even took a test sample, heated the crap out of it and trying to pull it/stretch it, and it basically resists stretching and only shrivels and wrinkles. If you get a film that isn't creased AND you're working on a mostly flat surface with almost no contour, I'm sure you can make it work by starting in the center and working the air out. I wouldn't recommend using any heat, nor applying the film to anything with much or any curvature. I'm glad I didn't waste a lot of money, only time, but lesson learned. Obviously I'll have to be more selective in the future for when I think I'm buying a quality brand.

Decent quality, not a beginner project
Overall I'm pretty happy with this tint. This is my second time working with film tint and my first time resulted in all of the tint going in the trash. This tint was a little more forgiving. It definitely took some time and a lot of heat to get the film close to how I wanted it. My outer tail lights have some weird angles and those pieces are where I had the most trouble. From a distance the finished product looks nice but up close there are wrinkles I'm not happy with. I will probably order another roll of tint to redo them eventually. An extra set of hands would be helpful when working on the more oddly shaped tail lights. I didn't end up using the tool that came with the film. It was a bit too sharp for me to feel comfortable running it over the film repeatedly but my fingers worked just fine (let the film cool a bit first). I saw some reviews mention an orange peel texture in the film. That was definitely there on the dark smoke but you can't see it once the film is applied. Aside from my novice mistakes the film looks completely glossy once applied.

THANK YOU VVIVID FOR A QUALITY PRODUCT!
JUST MAKE SURE TO BUY EXTRA!! I've always wanted to tint my tail lights but never had the time to do so. After searching DIY videos on YouTube (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!) and browsing Amazon, Vvivid was highly praised so I gave it a go. Keep in mind I AM NOT SPONSORED by Vvivid but I can't praise the quality and ease of it to work with it compared to the cheap eBay "wet application" tint. Make sure to use a heat gun and be patient with trying to workout any wrinkles and be sure to stretch the film. I went through 8+ feet worth of vinyl before I got the hang of it due to my tail lights complicated curves and edges (see photo). Applying on flat surfaces is easy but getting to adhere to tight curves is tricky (heat, stretch, and use your finger!!). Once done, it was just the right shade I was looking for. Turned my bright red rear into a subtle dark cherry color which is exactly what I was looking for. Living in California, CHP and local PD has an eye out for "blacked out" tails. But I feel these are subtle enough to get away without drawing too much attention from PD but enough to make it stand out compared to OEM tail lights. I will try to update within a month to see how it holds up but so far so good. People who've given this bad reviews simply experienced user error. Stay persistent, be patient, and the final result will speak for itself.

Tough to use on curves
Good - This works great on straight lines or slight curves. Bad - The material is extremely sticky, will wrinkle, heat doesn't help but instead it makes it worst. The film is really thick and tough to get a clean cut sometimes. I tried to cut a piece that was about the size of my headlight. I tried a few times and each time the same thing would happen, when you go from the straight to a curve or vice versa, wrinkles. Not bubble wrinkles either these were full on wrinkles. The paper I received started out fine when I went to do my indicators and side mirrors, front and rear badges, slight curves. But anything that flares out, has a bubble, like most headlights these days, will wrinkle. I tried to see if you can install it wet but didn't find anything on it. Maybe with water it might be easier to work with but even then, the paper comes with lines that run up and down. You will get them either at the front of the roll or towards the end. I am waiting until I have more time off to see if wet has any success. While it looks great on the image, I want the person who installed that film on that Suby to do my forte GT, cause my lights are very similar. The pieces that I did do look really nice, but some pieces took several attempts and these were mostly straight lines. One tip I learned while working with this film, if you decide to try it, Push the film towards where you plan on cutting it out, the excess film should be lifted up and not up against anything at this point. Use your push tool (flat thing to lay the film down) as far as you can without cutting the film then using you finger nail or something similar, try to make the line you plan on cutting, then cut. You can then use your blade to clean up any excess. But be warned, those wrinkles don't come out.

Easy install and looks awesome
I wanted to smoke my deflectors but I saw this when I was making my purchase and figured for such a low price it was worth trying first. I loved how it turned out! I’ve only done some light tint and decal installs but I found this pretty easy to work with. The roll is a bit thick and hard to manipulate but it cut pretty cleanly and easily with a 30 degree blade. The iridescent color looks amazing. Sometimes it looks more purple or green but way better than the OEM orange.

For folks who have never wrapped before, read this review…
Tint is Dark Smoke This product is amazing for the price. The quality is phenomenal and it is relatively easy to work with, even for those who have not wrapped before. However, this is the second time I have used this tint, and even with my first inexperienced attempt, it still turned out decent. Prior to my first attempt, the only experience I’ve had wrapping is through YouTube videos. It was a very difficult and lengthy process, and that unfortunately is just a byproduct of learning. You will be frustrated, you will overstretch, you will have creases, but what I love so much about this wrap is that it is very forgiving. Words of wisdom, remove your tail lights if possible. It makes the process so much easier and more comfortable as it allows you to work inside in cooler/warmer areas. Heat gun is a necessity, a hair dryer doesn’t have enough heat to properly heat the wrap and will cause creases everywhere and make it very difficult to shape. Also invest in a cheap wrapping kit through Amazon. The utility knives and cloth squeegees are so nice to have and will save your hands and fingers from sores. Overall, this is a wonderful wrap and I highly recommend to all beginners looking to tint their tail lights for the first time. Don’t be afraid to mess up, just go for it!
