Q: Can these be used for deadlift or jerk boxes?

These are very well constructed but because of the non slip surface I wouldn't drop a stacked barbell on them. I have 2 of the 4" and 2 of 6" and use them for deadlifts but I only use about 225 lbs. There are not any internal cross beam supports so that might be the answer you are looking for. I also use them for kettlebell deadlifts to elevate my feet and increase the depth of my squat. Hope this helps.

Brian, phillips head driver and maybe 15 minutes. There are also wooden pegs that just push in. I put the 4 I bought together and then tightened the screws gradually. Double checked them after a few uses. If you want to use them for deadlifts as a jack box there are no cross supports underneath. I do stand on mine for sumo kettlebell deadlifts and for some heavier landmine squats but wouldn't drop a heavy barbell on them.

It’s supposed to be pre drilled with screws! Send it back and get another. This is literally the easiest thing to assemble.
