Excellent project
This is only my second building block project ever; my first was the Sakura blossom tree by this same company. The succulents (this review) was a significantly easier project and I completed it in an afternoon. It would be a great starter project for those curious about mini blocks. The results are very pretty and I’m really looking forward to doing more! Some pointers for those who may be new to these kind of block kits. My 16-yo nephew has done these things since he was a kid, so I credit all my knowledge to him. 😂1. These are mini blocks, as they are clearly labeled. They are slightly smaller than standard Lego-style blocks. I have fat fingers, but didn’t have trouble with them. 2. The pieces are listed in the back of the book and come bagged in batches; they are NOT bagged by step. You have to do some sorting and prep before you put the kit together. With both my kits, all of the pieces were included, along with some extras of the smaller blocks that may be easily dropped or lost. 3. To start, take the pieces out and make sure they’re all there before you start by using the list of blocks at the back of the book (if you’re like me and don’t want to risk getting partway through a project only to find you don’t have an integral piece. I do this with kit furniture, too.). 4. After you check for pieces, it’s time to sort. I suggest sorting by color into snack baggies. This will make following the instructions easier because you won’t be digging through a huge mish-mash of blocks. 5. The instructions are in picture form. Each step shows which blocks are required, then shows how to assemble them. Previous steps are grayed out. It’s not too hard to follow for me, but I’m pretty good at putting kit furniture together and my husband can’t follow those type of instructions for the life of him so your mileage may vary. 6. Once you have something in place, use a dab of superglue if you want to make sure it doesn’t move.I hope you enjoy as much as I did!

Fun little build
This was easier to assemble than anticipated and I absolutely love this little sakura bonsai. It is sturdier than I expected, although still requires gentle handling when positioning the branches. All the pieces were included in the kit, including a few extras which I incorporated into the build.

Hard to snap into base
I enjoy the challenge, but the one thing I had problems with is making sure the correct piece is installed. The pictures and instructions don't help. The last thing is trying to snap the tree into the base. It's not allowing me to properly snap into the base without coming apart. It's such a tight fit. The tree doesn't line up to snap in. So what I'm I doing wrong. I even tried taking all the flowers off and tried snapping the tree into the base. Well that didn't go well either. The base started coming apart.I decided to let it just stand on the base so that it just held up by the base.Beautiful mimi project with a lot of time and patience to assemble.A day and a half to complete, I had to walk away a few times, because it was frustrating whenever it doesn't match the installation provided. Small illustration for a mini project. Need a needle nose tool to make the connection.

Lego Enthusiast
Gave this gift to a Lego Enthusiast and she fell in love. One of the only ones that stays on display all the time. We are so grateful this was well made.

They do mean 'Mini'! These are 1/4 the size of the L brand blocks!
Very detailed and pretty. The eggshell pieces used for the flowers do get stuck together and you just smack them with the palm of the hand they pop apart. The directions are a bit twisty-turny, but overall I'm happy with they way it looks! Quick 30 minute build.

very pretty tree
it was a nicely illustrated instruction sheet. a few pieces were missing from the package to do as on the instruction sheet, so i had to improvise. I did finish the tree after about an hour and some bad language. I love it, i will not take apart to put together again, it will stay assembled to look at. I love it, but it does look a little different from package. it also fits loosely in the container, so you have to be extra careful moving it around.

CUTE and EASY assemble
The media could not be loaded. Very cute, easy instruction. very easy to assemble as long as you follow the instruction and pay attention to the details (color, shape, facing direction). it is small, only took me approx. 3 hours to finish (received at 1250, open and start, finish at 1520). To make it much easier, open all package, and separate everything by color, because you need everything from every bag, unlike Lego which baged perfectly from 1 to N.I dropped so many stuff on floor, and there are few I couldn't find, I thought I will end up miss items. But I am not, there are extra 1-2 for all the pieces. Try not to drop anything.
