I am a low-vision person. I bought this to help deal with menus and other things that I normally can't read with my magnifying glasses. The product is compact for a 20X magnifier but certainly more bulky that your typical 3X magnifier. The case is sturdy metal and the lenses are glass, so scratches would not be the issue you might find with plastic lenses. A light would have been nice, but would increase the bulk of the device.

I was looking for a pocket magnifying glass because Im getting old and I cant read fine print anymore. I wanted something small I could keep in my pocket. This piece is wayyy too big for that. I didnt realize it at the time of purchase because, yeah you guessed it, I couldnt read the small print detailing the size and just assumed it was about the size of half dollar. It is much bigger than that. Im keeping it though because it is really nice and well made. Perhaps a smaller version could be made available in the future.

I got this for my father. When I looked at it I realize it was weaker magnification and inferior quality of the glass than I would’ve expected. My dad finds it useless also. He’s an retired engineer and he knows how to calculate magnification based on focal length. And he said it is not as billed.

Not really a "pocket" sized glass, heavy to carry and a pain to push the glass from the case. I thought it would be smaller, but that's my fault for not paying attention to the dimensions. The rim the glass is surrounded by is cheap and over time the hinge that swings the glass could break off. Even for 15 bucks, the price isn't worth it.
