4 Wheel 2 Layer Robot Smart Car Chassis Kits with Speed Encoder for Arduino DIY (Yellow)

I used this chassis to help teach arduino programming. It came with instructions that were easy to follow. The only slight ding is: it should say solder the motors first, they are small and there isn’t a lot of space, the tabs are tiny and it’s easy to scorch the plastic. Soldering the motor leads first was much easier. The rest of the car was easy to assemble. I mounted an arduino, an Adafruit motor shield and Adafruit Bluetooth friend, a usb battery and a 5AA battery pack. My project was running using my phone as the controller in no time. This is a great product for teaching beginning robotics.

I have 2 complaints with this product, neither of wich are serious. It pins on the motors that you connect wires to to supply power are very flimsy, I broke one of them when i was setting it up for the fist time. Also, this product does not come with assembly instructions - I had to watch a youtube video on how to assemble it because it was not straight forward, I may just be a moron though. Overall I would buy it again if I needed another

This kit was exactly what I was looking for. I had all of the other parts I needed for my robot and didn't want to pay extra for unneeded components. It's very sturdy and I have had this thing running around my hardwood apartment easily driving over the fat cord I have attached to it at the moment. You don't need to second guess this purchase if it has the parts you need.

One wheel was misshaped, which can happen and not too serious but how do I get a replacement wheel? I don't want to return the item and re-order as that is a hassle and isn't worth the trouble. Apparently there is no way to leave the vendor a message other than this 'review'.Other than that .... the item is a value.

Having ordered this for a school project I got exactly what was expected. They even through in some extra nuts and a screw. Easy assembly and instructions. Just a heads up before mounting DC motors to chassis I recommend soldering wires to motor first it can be done afterwards, but it was a little bit of a pain.

Not happy, as this is the second chassis we purchased and it broke just as the first did, at the wheel area. Just not a quality chassis, unfortunately.

Very strirdy and doesn’t seem too cheap. My only issue was that I do need to buy an Omni wheel. Which sucks but that’s it. I bought it for a school project and I got almost everything I need. I just suggest double checking if you need an Omni wheel or not.

Worked well for what I needed it to. Just make sure you are careful to not torque down the nuts/bolts that mount the motors too tightly, the plastic will crack and break easily.
