AP Chemistry 2015: Review Book for AP Chemistry Exam with Practice Test Questions

AVOID THIS BOOK!This guide does NOT cover the new topics introduced into AP Chem since 2014!No PES, particulate representations, alloys, etc.The topics it does cover are only explored very superficially with a minimal amount of examples and explanation. In fact this book would not be adequate for students taking the 2013 exam!Moreover, the book should have been organized with more coherency (for example: stoichiometry is addressed far too late in this book)The exam questions lack originality (seemed cribbed from other sources) and feature public domain figures and diagrams of poor quality. Most importantly, the practice tests are not rigorous enough to prepare students for the actual AP Chem exam.The production is amateurish: blank pages with no content interspersed throughout, amateurish typos and poor editing.I keep a copy of all the current AP Chem study guides (about 8 now) on a shelf in my classroom for my students to evaluate and allow them to decide which one is best for them to purchase. I did them a favor by not putting this book on that shelf.I could go on but why bother. Do yourself a favor. Do not buy this guide. Any of the major publication guides produced in 2014-15 will serve you better (some much better than others) at a cheaper price than this one.

One of the reviewers is correct in that the explanations provided for each chapter is extremely inadequate and not up to the minimum standards we expect in AP study guides. Only positive note is the number of exams provided (four total), but only 3 out of 4 have detailed answers. Hence 2 stars from me.

This is by far the worst AP Chemistry review/prep book on the market. Poorly written, graphs copied from the internet. Looks like some tutor's notes quickly put together for publication. No information about the author, nor the company that produce this book. Overall, AVOID BUYING THIS BOOK.
