AllerpetDog Dander Remover, 12 oz

This has to be one of the best products I've found. I have severe allergies to dogs--as in wheezing, asthma, hives and generalized swelling within 10-15 minutes of being near one. However, despite that, my husband wanted to try getting a dog. Being a good wife, I agreed to try it for 30 days thinking I'd be miserable for that month and then he'd never ask for one again.Obviously, when Sancho (an English Bulldog puppy) first arrived to our home I truly was miserable. I was already on daily Zyrtec and had to add in both topical and oral Benadryl daily (which IS NOT healthy -- don't try it at home) just to breathe and keep from scratching myself to death. I ended up doing some research trying to find SOMETHING that would help, and came across Allerpet D. It was highly recommended on multiple allergy-related forums, so I decided to give it a go.It arrived within 24 hours with my Prime membership and THANK HEAVENS it did! My husband brushed and bathed Sancho, and then applied the Allerpet. Results were simply amazing. By the next day I was able to breathe...and no Benadryl! Since then, it's gotten steadily better. I no longer take any Benadryl (still take Zyrtec daily) and I can even touch, play and cuddle with our puppy for small amounts of time as long as I'm diligent about washing my hands and skin afterward.The only con about it is the fact that the bottle is so small. I wish it came in a larger size. Even so, for the first time in my life I'm able to have a furry pet and so I'll continue to buy the small bottles.This is a product that truly has changed my life and I recommend it to anyone struggling with pet allergies. You'll be so happy you did!

We just rescued the best doberman ever and all was well, except for allergies with my 2 year old daughter. She's not allergic at all with anything but for some reason, she was always left itchy with hives whenever she came into contact with our new dobie. It broke our hearts to even consider rehoming our new dog because he was so amazing. Anyways, we were told to try this product and after one application, my daughter had no reaction to our dog. we couldn't believe it! We did another application of Allerpet 5 days later and haven't done it since. It was that instant!!! It totally helped and we still have it in case we need another application if our daughter were to ever have another reaction. It's been 6 weeks and so far, so good. I credit this product mainly and a change in diet with our new dog.

I have a rat terrier with short hair that is a pain to comb out or brush... also my dog hates being brushed. Using this after a bath helps get a bunch of extra loose hair out of her coat. It also seems to sooth her skin, so she doesn't get dry flakey skin after her bath. It also makes her coat super smooth and soft. Washing takes away all her natural coat oils, and this product seems to aleviate any problems associated with removing all the natural oils (dry skin, rough coat, itchy skin, and lack of sheen on coat). It also seems to help with my minor allergies in that it reduces dander. I used it once between baths and it helped get loose hair out and it got some dirt out of her coat. It also made her shiny and got rid of the dirty dog smell. But because it helps with problems of frequent bathing, I typically just get her frequent baths and her sensative skin does not get irritated because this temporarily takes the place of the natural oils.

This stuff really, really did work! We have four pugs, two of which bother me and two do not. All one of the problem pugs has to do is just touch me for more than a minute and the itching starts. Finally when I can't take it anymore, I have to make my babies move off my lap and there will be red skin with giant hives on the spot where they were touching me.The Allerpet/d was just delivered Sunday 12/28. I rubbed it into the fur and down to the skin as directed using a cloth. It is now Tuesday and the dogs have been as cuddly as EVER but absolutely no more itching, redness or hives since Sunday. AMAZING!I will follow the directions and apply at least weekly. If I start to itch before then, I will apply it more frequently. So far though, no more allergy skin and we are happy (myself and the pugs!).

Good for dander but I was trying to find something to stop a boxer from metabolizing the protein that causes hives from their saliva. I did some research and it said this would work. It really didn't. However like I mentioned decent for dander at the price.

Arrived broken and empty. Unfortunately was out of state on medical emergency. Was gone past the time of able to return. My loss. On product and money.Don't know if it works on my dog

My husband and I were keeping my son's pit bull for a couple of weeks. I am allergic to a lot of animals, but not usually dogs. For some reason, the pit bull's fur caused me to itch and have trouble breathing. We began looking for products to help. None of our local stores sold anything that would help with the human allergies to pet fur and dander. We found this product on Amazon and paired it with the Allersearch Pet + shampoo. Using this combination has eliminated by reaction to dog. I can now sit with him on the couch without any symptoms. I would recommend this to anyone struggling with an allergy to a dog.

We have two dogs, but one of them has both a coat and an undercoat, and he just gets stinky even after a bath. I'm allergic to dogs anyway, and i end up suffering through the winter when it's too cold to bathe him. I bought this product because years and years ago I used it for a cat and it seemed to help a bunch. The product is just the same, and it works well. Once a week the dog gets brushed thoroughly, and then wiped down with the allerpet. He enjoys the process, I don't detect any odor from him or from the allerpet, and his coat gets extra shiny and healthy looking. Its fantastic and i'm going to order more right away, possibly even a case!
