Worked great
It was perfect for putting brides bouquets together as well as arch floral arrangements. Worked as described. I had 4" glue sticks, and I just cut them in thirds and placed them in the skillet rather than using the optional glue stick holder that came with it.

Great for silk floral projects.
My mom makes a lot of silk floral arrangements. The price of metal picks recently quadrupled in price, so she wanted another option. She loves these little glue warmers and their compact size. She dips the stem of her flowers in the glue and sticks them into the foam and the flowers stay where they are supposed to. No longer needing to apply picks to each stem saves her both time and money.

Be careful not to burn yourself
I am into making silk flower arrangements and this item makes my fun a lot easier I really like that I can stick a whole glue stick in the holder and wait for the glue to melt. I do not have to cut the glue stick (hard to do)

Good for the sticks not for the pillows
Purchased it to work with adhesive pillows. The downside is that you cannot control the temperature. It does not reach a temp high enough for addressing pillows. Probably better to use it for the glue sticks. Not the easiest to clean.

Why have I never had one of these?!?! If you’re like me and can’t use a regular glue gun without getting blisters, you need a low temp glue gun. But I never realized how much glue I wasted by over applying just to get glue in the places I needed. Low and behold... the dipping glue! OMG. Life changing. I had 200 favors to make and I dipped the back of the bows, I dipped the ends of the flowers, I dipped dipped dipped and dipped. Buy the surebond low temp glue to use with this.... no stupid spiderweb stringy things stuck all over everything. I would’ve used two packs of glue sticks for my project and I think I only added maybe 6 pieces of glue to top off the pot half way through, the left over glue is left in the pot to harden for next time instead of dribbling out of the gun.The model I bought did not have a temp control, but that works ok for me, I needed low temp for my own safety! I accidentally stuck the tip of my finger in this glue pot (only once) and it didn’t even blister. I would stick my Bobby pins in this stuff to keep them in place, if I could figure out how to wash the glue out of my hair after. Buy this!

Product great ... shipping packaging a major fail.
This is an excellent wax skillet for working with flowers for things like cemetery saddles and cones. Any project where it is easier to dip the item into the clue rather than use a glue gun.Amazon is the major fail in this product because I purchased it paired with a bag of the glue pellets. The Kentucky Amazon location that apparently packaged this for shipping placed the skillet (in it's hard plastic clam shell packaging with sharp edges) into one of the white thin recycled plastic shipping envelope along with the bag of glue pellets. By the time it got to me in Virginia the skillet's clam shell package had sliced open the bag of pellets. The clam shell had also sliced open the shipping envelope in about six places. One approximate three-inch cut was taped closed, others were not. I am not sure how much of the pellets were lost. Amazon makes it very hard to complain about this shipping packing issue.
