Grandson loved it
I didn’t think it was worth $25 but my Grandson age 10 said it was perfect. He is into army men .

Good for young recruits and older ones alike
Very good nostalgic toy for older collectors, and large size for new up and coming ones. Removable top to haul lots of soldiers across the living room floor or stage a dismount scene on the shelf. Does have peel & stick decals and some other small parts so not good for the younger recruits that still chew or bite things. But rugged enough construction for the backyard sandbox invasion.

Great for 1:18 scale army guys.
Works great with G.I. Joe or world peace keepers! No idea what could justify its enormous enormous expense for what it is though.Value for the money is on the super low end of things.Anything else out there comparable you would get so much more. This truck is $.20 worth of plastic and two dollars worth of labor. But it’s more expensive then most entire playsets with 10 times as much that come with them.Idk why it costs so much. It’s pretty basic. And its basic form has been made for many decades.I imagine these are still made in America and probably part of the problem with the cost.

a great retro toy from a different era
This is a retro toy and feels like it. The plastic has a glossy, low detail, cheap look to it, but it’s surprisingly very solid feeling compared to what is on the market today. I never owned the original version, but the company says it’s using the original molds from 1980 to reproduce it which is cool. The look, size, and color is impressive and reminds me of MASH, and old war movies. This is scaled a little larger than old 1980’s GIJoe figures, but can blend into the universe. My main complaint is the cabin of the vehicle. It does not come with a figure, however it will fit 3 3/4” and some 4” figures. Getting those figures in the vehicle is not so easy as the doors do not open which leads you to use the top as an entryway. There are 2 cutouts on the driver side for the drivers 2 feet. Because there is a steering column sticking out between these 2 cutouts it’s very difficult to get a figure to fit on the seat. Unfortunately there are no feet cutouts on the passenger side, so you cannot get a figure in there. I plan on trying to cut the plastic to enlarge the foot holes and also create some holes on the passenger side to fit another figure.Since this is a cargo vehicle it also can hold 8 figures in the back as well as other things your child might want to store in there. The seats are a bit small and I noticed not all my 4” figures were able to sit comfortably and lock into the notches so they don’t fall over. The back cargo door can open very easily. You can also remove the cargo canopy with a little force. The plastic has some give, so I never felt like anything was going to break.Did I mention the steering wheel rotates? What a nice touch. The wheels are attached on both sides to a metal axle that can easily be removed if you want to mod the vehicle. This is something a child can get rough with so don’t hesitate to give it as a gift. It does arrive in just a plastic bag, so no cardboard box to wrap. An older adult who might have had one of these when they were a child will enjoy it too. Since this vehicle is not painted there are a few stickers included that can be applied.I think if you are used to 80s and modern GIJoe vehicles and military toys, you might find this toy a little large and a bit on the no frills side. But if you grew up with this toy I’m sure it’ll bring back a lot of memories. My review might sound a little harsh, but the more I look at this vehicle and play with it a bit, the more I appreciate the history of this toy and how rare it is to see something like this still being made. Decide for yourself if it's worth the price of admission.
