I am very pleased with the quality of the chess board and the pieces. Clearly something you would display proudly at home, and enjoy playing with. Unfortunately one of the pieces arrived broken in 2 (despite the good protective packaging); I reached out to customer service to let them know of the issue - I rapidly received an answer and my replacement arrived (complementary) after only 2 days..! Very happy with such a prompt customer service.

I was pleasantly surprised just by the weight of the box when this arrived. I wasn't expecting both the board and the pieces to be such heavy pieces of marble, but they are and it's a true show-piece and pleasure to play with. The added carry box and the sponge feet for the pieces are a nice touch to keep it protected. One downside is, the inlay to hold the pieces in the carry box are too small for the pieces.

Got this chess set and I love it. Its absolutely beautiful however the pieces are delicate, of course they're made of stone and onyx is particularly sensitive. It's very well presented in a box and the detail of the pieces is very nice. I would definitely get it for someone as a gift but I wouldn't say its hard wearing as the pieces will break if not handled with great care. I had an issue with one of mine and the team at radical helped me out. They were very responsive and understanding and replaced my piece for me.

Good price, well packaged... great quality, solid product. Only took a peep in to the contents of the box to ensure it had arrived safely (as it is a Christmas present), but was so impressed.

Pieces feel heavy and good quality. Most are cut and shaped well. Couple of them had small minor marks but overall for someone who loves chess this is a really nice set to play on. The carrying case is really convenient for packing and storing. The board looks like individual squares all glued together, and most were aligned properly, but some were slightly out. Not enough to really make a big deal out of it though. I would recommend.

This chess set is awesome. It's super well made and high quality. I really like how each piece is uniquely hand carved. RadicalN packages this product very securely and clearly marks it as fragile. Amazon took their fragile tightly packed box and put it in a box that was 4X bigger with no padding or fragile label. So all the care radicalN took in packaging the product was pointless since Amazon put it in an unsafe box that got thrashed during their delivery process. This made it so my set arrived with a broken knight. RadicalN had very good customer service and quickly sent out a whole set of replacement knights for me and since it didn't pass through Amazon's hands it arrived in perfect condition. This is a great product but I would advise buying it directly from RadicalN so Amazon doesn't get a chance to screw you with bad packaging and also doesn't make any money off their poor delivery service.

Globalement produit de bonne qualité et trés beau. Le tout pèse son poid. Je retire une étoile car les patins en feutre présents sur la photo ne sont en réalité pas fournis avec le produit. Sans eux les pièces font un bruit désagréable sur l'échiquier lorsque qu'on les manipules. Facile à ajouter certes mais quand même.
