Hello, Thank you for your question. All ECCO are made on one of 6 factories. Country of origin is listed. Slovakia would be where these shoes are made. This shoe has a textile lining.

Q: How do these soft leather sneakers do in the rain? Are they water resistant or waterproof?

Hello, All of our shoes are made from full grain leather so they will hold up just fine in the rain. They are not waterproof nor water resistant but are made with our fluid form technology which can ensure that water will not seep in through the outsole.

Q: The size guide here is inconsistent with the size guide from other Ecco shoes so please confirm which size guide to follow? Thanks

I typically wear size 7 or size 37 in European sizing. This one shows that the 37 is equivalent to American size 6-6 1/2, but fits me perfectly. I actually tried these on in a store before I bought them, so from my experience, they run a little large.
