Chi Mei N156BGE-L41 Rev. C1 Laptop Screen 15.6 SLIM LED WXGA HD

This product was a very lucky find for me. I had recently broken my screen and this one was only around $22 as opposed to the average $55 for lcd's! It was a risk buying this.My first reaction when it came in was "Ok, what is going to be wrong with it?"The damage: the top pieces to screw it in were bent, that's all! It must have happened in shipping! This is TOTALLY usable and I am so happy that it was still being sold with the minor problem. I'm typing on it now and everything works BEAUTIFULLY. I will absolutely buy products from this seller again, they so not waste perfectly good products and give their customers AWESOME opportunities. (8

UPDATE 2/22/2014:VivoTechnology has since contacted me, and sent me a new display which I installed. No dead pixels, very happy with the result. I appreciate VivoTechnology standing behind their products.Original Review:I ordered the part to replace a LCD on a Asus laptop. The part arrived quickly and packaged well. They substituted LG brand vs Chi Mei as in description. After replacing the screen and turning computer on, there was a dead pixel in the middle of the display, totally unacceptable as it was very visible, bright white. Instead of a Chi Mei as ordered it was an LG screen (which I would not had any issues with if not dead pixel almost in middle of screen)After assembly I booted laptop and found a dead pixel almost in the center of the panel half way up and 2/3 the way over from the left of the screen. My customer has been without his laptop for 4 days now, is very dissatisfied, needs the laptop and will bring it back to be replaced once the new one screen arrives.I request you to send out a new panel (without dead pixel in screen) and provide a return shipping label so that I can return the one with the dead pixel back.I am looking forward to a quick, positive resolution of this issue so that I can provide positive comments on Amazon.Thank you,MikeVIVO Technology response:Hello,Thank you for your email. As suggested, I contacted them directly by phone and let the know how it worked.Their reply was that having a dead pixel in the middle of the screen was acceptable and that they would not ship me a replacement. I now have a very dissatisfied customer, out $53.

Hewlett Packard wanted to charge 250$ to replace and "repair" my broken laptop screen. Purchased this screen for under 50$ and replaced or myself. Works PERFECT. Like new . Actually think this screen works and looks better than the original one lol! And for such a decent price and delivery was fast!

Having researched a lot for a replacement laptop screen, and having studied the replacement process on YouTube videos, I ordered the type and model that matched mine.Delivery was made earlier than expected, the item was well-packaged, and replacement was done by me in 10 minutes flat, saving me $200 in Geek Squad labor.Although the screen model sent was not the one I ordered, it worked perfectly and it was a Samsung screen - even better.I will be using these guys again in the future :-)

The panel was exactly what was described. At first I didn’t have the rear display cable properly seated and thought it came with a bad backlight; After seeing the display cable slightly loose & reseating, the product lit up as it should and has been working fine with no problems for a few weeks now.

I am no newbie to swapping computer parts around, replacing and upgrading as necessary since computers have been around and I have been too broke to pay someone else to do it for me. Compared to some of the things I have done (replacing processors or motherboards, etc) I thought this would be an easy fix. It SHOULD have been an easy fix. I popped out my old screen to confirm model number before ordering this. Popped old screen back in and was using it cracked while I waited for this to arrive. Swapped it out in a couple of minutes, put my battery back in and fired it up. It was elated for about 20 seconds when I saw the return of my entire screen, then it all went to heck in a hand-basket. The connection for the screen overheated, melted the wires, and the screen went from showing my desktop, to black and white lines, to black. I had to hurriedly yank my battery to cut the power to stop the smoking and burning plastic/rubber smell where the wires melted the tape. Now because of the melted wires, my old cracked screen no longer displays anything. My situation went from bad to worse and easy to difficult. Thanks for frying my display permanently with this piece of junk. What a nightmare!!!!!!

had one dead pixel , i dont wanna return it since the return shipping is more than the screen itself...
