superb grill you will love it makes your Weber even better!
Best grill I've ever used. Mine cracked in one spot the first time I heated it over a roaring fire but none since. It makes the best makes on your steaks and chicken. I was worried it would warp but it's been close to 20 fires and it's still perfect. I hit it with a shot of canned vegetable oil before and after the fire, I doubt it needs it just a habit.

Perfect for the RECTEQ RT-B380X
Perfect for the RECTEQ RT-B380X. I use the Aura at 500 - 550 degrees between 3 and 5 cooks a week. I have run at 750 degrees for a couple of cooks without issue. The grate is awesome. The grid pattern is a bit non-traditional but lays down a crisp set of delicious grill marks (the char is enough to get some in every bite). I actually now enjoy the fact that the grill marks are Not the everyday diamond pattern.I have read the many cases of the grate "cracking" but they all seem to be on the weber kettles and I suspect they are trying to do a dual zone on a single cast iron grate. I would never try to run a single piece of cast iron at two different temperatures because it might cause it to crack! Enough said, is just my speculation based on long experience with cast iron. For clean off, I just pull the meat and then do a 20 minute burn off at 550 degrees then shut down. Once cooled, I do a light brush off and might or might not do a pass with a vegetable oiled rag to "slick things up" and prevent any rust.If you own a Recteq Bullseye, this grate works well.v/r rch

Mine cracked a little but so what?
I bought this product quite a while ago, and have put it to very harsh use. On the first usage (with a fire of pretty high temp), it cracked in a couple of places. I heard it happen or otherwise I’d have never known. The cracks are very small and do not even remotely alter use or strength. I am VERY hard on it, and it comes through with flying colors. It makes a huge difference in cooking things because nothing I make has ever gotten through and dropped into the fire. I get great grill marks on food. It is very heavy, but that’s to be expected. I am totally satisfied with it, and would buy it again if I ever needed to replace it. I highly doubt this would happen as it is as strong as a tank.

Nice grill
Great, heavy steel product. It sucks to clean it. The one that came with the recteq had awful welds and was falling apart.Good value!

Poor Quality!!
Waited too long to use it but, when I was able to set it up and cook it cracked multiple times. It was nice but, for one use I would say not for the price!! I followed all instructions and also saw other reviews with the same thing happen. My fault though for not trying it when I bought it. Was trying to entertain guests that evening as well. 😔

Cast Iron for the win
Replaced my standard Weber grill grate with this. I miss the hinged access from the Weber grates but Cast Iron is the way to go.High heat melts the standard grates. With cast iron, it retains the heat and gives you nice sear marks as well as a more steady cooking temp. For long low and slow cooks/smokes, standard grates are nice, and the hinged do have the benefit of access to the coals. Cast iron however is a better temp regulator. the entire grate will absorb the heat and help keep an even, steady temp. I was able to stay at at 220 for 6 hours without fluctuation with the cast iron. Standard grates do not retain the heat so if the coals flare or drop, so does your heat.If you're into the sear marks on your meat, you can't beat cast iron. Heat it up and sear both sides..you hear it. It's beautiful. It did lose a star because it's kind of clunky to clean with a normal brush. You can get the top clean with a scrub but the grates are thick and you get a lot of build up in the diamonds. You can burn it off if your grill can take frequent 500+ temps, I love my Weber but it cannot (and I have the melted grates and handles to prove it!).Still a great upgrade if you're still using your stock grate.
