Yooperlite Authentic Glow Stone from Michigan's Upper Peninsula RAW Not Tumbled or Polished

The yooper I received looks really good under a cheap uv light. I need to get a higher quality uv flashlight to really appreciate this stone. Don't bother with cheap Amazon or harbor freight flashlights they aren't worth it.

I was just hoping it would have been brighter.

It's not the most fluorescent stone I have but it's true to its advertisement.

Great little gift for a kid (or adult) who likes rocks! You'll definitely need a 365nm UV light and NOT a 395nm for the absolute best results.

We learned about these rocks on our recent trip to the UP. Hubby was really hoping to find some, but no luck. He found out that some were found in our Door County area. Guess where we planned to go for his birthday? Yup, Door County. So I ordered these pebble-size rocks, thinking their small size would be more realistic should they be ‘discovered’. They arrived just in time for our getaway. I planted them among the rocks along the lakefront of the cottage we rented, knowing no else should be there. Armed with the UV flashlight, hubby ‘found’ them on his birthday. Perfect gift!

I was a little apprehensive, I read reviews from people who were disappointed with the rock they received, but the rock sent to me is absolutely great. It’s the perfect size and it’s bright. This will make a great gift for this little girl I know who for some reason is fascinated with rocks. I know she’ll love it.

For a very reasonable price, the small Yoopers add a fun new dimension to my collection. Using the Convoy-C8 UV light, the little gray stones explode with color. Under regular UV, the stones will glow a pale pink. Under the C8 light, they really light up to a brilliant yellow and orange. I need to make a trip to Michigan.
