Great Resource
I am about half way through this book and have found it to be a great resource for everything from excel tips, modeling and layouts, and valuation itself. The files that are provided via download/cd-rom are structured well and easy to follow. I come from the technical side of things and have enjoyed going through this book to learn more of the financial side.A note for those ordering the hard copy: I ordered the hard copy version of the book, and it did not originally come with the CD-ROM that accompanies the book. However, the files can still be accessed from a download link as noted for e-reader purchases in the product description. I am not sure if this has become a blanket change for everyone now that cd's are being used less and less, but don't become frustrated like I was initially if you don't see the cd-rom in your order.

wonderful Book
I was so satisfied of buying this book. It is really worthy to buy the book at a price of €113, both for Oil and Gas professionals and student. It is more than enough to learn and practice Evaluation of Oil and Gas Projects. I hope new edition could bring more insights about oil and gas contracts law.I congratulate and wish all the best to the authors for their fantastic work.Dr. Arzika

Required Reading
I purchased this book when I was studying for my MBA to teach myself hands-on petroleum economics. I was not disappointed; this work is a pretty unique product. The excel-based examples, which build at a perfect rate, are a great way for the novice to get to grips with the mechanics of the modelling process (and experienced practitioners will pick up an array of best-practice tips). The accompanying narrative is clever, and it's very clear that the authors are accomplished in both the theory and the practice of this discipline. If you are an economics/finance/MBA student interested in the Oil & Gas sector, or a practicing Petroleum Economist, this book is required reading in my view.Dr Conor Ryan, Lead Geoscientist, Tullow Oil Plc

Mainly an introduction to the topic for beginners, and almost no context or data material. Disappointing
Not a course to progress and dig into the upstream economics, but rater an introduction for young students. There is only the minimum on fiscal modeling as none of the more or less recent progressive instruments is presented, no comparison or sensitives between approaches, no risk or information importance discussion, Excel models does not bring much as they are very simplified, no realistic example from the field ... Comments are quitte misleading so if you need something to go beyond and a progressive but finally in depth analysis of fiscal modeling in upstream petroleum, you need probably another book..
