Great item
Great build quality as always from Olight. Put feels nice to write with, it's standard pen dimensions and not like other bulky pens. The lights and laser pointer and easy to toggle through and the ball point and ink is good quality. I'm left handed and some inks smear on the page, but not this thankfully.

It's a rechargeable USB laser that's not huge. If you take the pen off.
It is, for some reason, almost impossible to find a small laser pointer. The kind which you might want to hand if you are, for example, worried about your cat getting through the front door and need a quick way to get it back inside. The kind that you might want to keep in a pocket, or a pocket organiser pouch, or maybe a handbag. There are a number of laser pointers which take LR44 button cells, which are quite bulky and don't last very long, and since the buttons are prone to getting pressed they tend to go flat when not monitored carefully - this is true even of the more robust kind you can get for gun sights. There are a few laser pointers which take smaller button cells and are actually small enough to carry, but they're generally a bit shoddy and break. There are laser pointers which are USB rechargeable, but generally they're nearly as large as a 100mW 18650 high-power laser (which is what tends to come up when you search for "laser pointer" for some reason, and really not what you want to point at a cat), and they're certainly big enough that you don't want to carry them just in case. And then there's this. It's a medium-power LED with a fairly low-power green laser in a size slightly longer than a AA battery and slightly thinner, clip aside, and it charges over USB C. It happens to live on the end of a pen, which makes it big again and which I don't need. The bolt action of the pen presses the little blue button which activates the laser (or the light), but obviously you can just push it with your finger and ignore the pen half. The button is a little exposed if you don't screw the pen on (although most small laser pointers have buttons that get pressed accidentally), but fortunately I use NetDot gen 10 magnetic connectors, and the USB end is the right size to protect the switch from accidental pressure while still allowing it to be turned on with a nail. This stops it fitting in the pen, but that's not my immediate concern (and you can always remove the NetDot). I doubt the battery is up to much (I've not tested), but for a 6cm-long laser pointer (with bonus emergency light) it's hard to be critical, and the fact that you can recharge it stops it being anything like the issue I have with repeatedly replacing button cells in the nearest alternatives. They're a bit expensive (thank you, Prime day - although they're now even cheaper on Olight's own store) but I've replaced the places I've been carrying other small lasers (in all cases, where I might need the attention of a cat, although I could imagine using one as an actual laser pointer too). The pen part seems fine, for what it's worth. I just don't normally use ball points, and if I do need to I've got a rite in the rain option that's smaller and more flexible...The potentially bad news is that OLight have a "new version" of this pen known as the "O'Pen Glow" which adds a light at the pen tip end. I'm sure that's great if you actually want to write in the dark (and don't want to take the clip end off, as they suggest for this version), but it means the body of the pen is electrical and it uses a proprietary charger (as OLight are prone to do), which completely removes most of the benefits I get from this version - even if I wanted to use it as a presenter pen it would be annoying to have to take a proprietary charger on trips. If they'd just release a laser the same size (the Arkfield is huge in comparison) I'd buy one. I've stocked up, because I'm worried they'll discontinue this useful version in the belief that the Glow is "better".

Good but not cheap
Great pen, love that it has a light and laser for work. Expensive for what it is though.

Brilliant quality
I initially bought a similar style pen for a quater of the price(you got 2 pens) They were absolute rubbish, such poor quality.I decided to opt for this pen, the initial cost was off-putting but you do pay for what you get.( I will add, I got this with a 15% off deal but I'd happily pay full price)The build quality is excellent. Its a great pen. Writes well and the incy wincy LED on the pen clip is fantastic. It has 4 brightness levels and it is bright( the led does get super hot if left on for a while) The green laser dot is powerful over some considerable distance but not something I actually use.The presentation box is great and houses the pen, charging cable and spare ink.A great bit of kit that will last.It definitely does last as I forgot to take it out of my shirt pocket and it survived a machine wash.Love it

Great wee EDC pen!
I had the first pen from olight and it was brilliant, a little chunky but got used to it quickly. It writes really well and with their gel refills, makes it easier to replace when one runs out. The bolt action makes this pen easy to use and it means it’s not easy to accidentally click then pen in your pocket. Don’t listen to any other reviews (especially those who haven’t actually purchased the pen). Great wee pen for every day use, torch and the pointer are a bonus.

Faulty battery, zero support from Olight
I couldn't wait to try this out and hinted at it for a birthday present. When I got it I was pretty happy with the design and functionality. It didn't work out of the box, it needed a charge to work at all, this was the first red flag on the battery quality! It's not a bright LED, close up work only, which is fine, and the green pointer is very low wattage but ideal for highlighting indoor areas in relevant situations such as surveying buildings (only indoors, outside it won't work due to brighter lighting). However I left it for a week and went to try it again and it was 100% flat so I charged it and it worked for a while, then a few days later I went to use it again and it was 100% flat AGAIN. Major issue. The person who bought it for me as a gift contacted Olight and they were extremely unhelpful, basically refused to assist at all. Extremely disappointing and concerningly poor customer service. Fortunately we'd used PayPal to buy it directly from Olight, we submitted evidence to PayPal and they issued a refund.

Neat gadget (Not a buyer)
Would probably buy except for bolt action pen, seriously hate this design.
