Full disclosure: I'm white, I have wavy 2b hair, and I use this in a very shortened version of the curly girl method.I was a little hesitant to try this product because I was worried it would have a strong rose scent, but it smells very light and the scent doesn't linger. The texture is nice too, like a facial serum. I flip my head over after my hair has been re-dampened and scrunch into the ends. Letting it air dry after gives me really nice results: soft waves without using heat, very little frizz (i'm naturally frizzy unfortunately), and it almost always holds throughout the day. Highly recommend if you're new to the curly girl method, or just want something light and uncomplicated to add to your haircare routine :)

Okay my curly hair gals and pals. I tried this to find a new curling jelly for my hair. It worked however initially I uses too much product. It did take about three tries to find the amount of product that worked for me. However once you find the gith amount your curls feel light weight! This curling jelly does hold very well and smells amazing!

The product itself is a good one but does not work for my dry type 4a/b hair. Their is a slight serum like feel before drying down (drying time seems accelerated by the product). After drying there is zero softening, moisturized, or emollient feel to the hair. Also, no significant crunch but definite hold.

So sad about this. Was really excited to find a gel with a scent other than coconut and I love rose. Unfortunately, the moment I applied it to my hair, it did a flash-dry. I tried it a second time by adding water and adding it to my curl cream, and the flash-dry was less pronounced but I don't feel like that combo gave me good results.FYI, not everyone's hair will flash-dry with certain ingredients and I just haven't totally narrowed it down to what causes this problem (aloe also does this but I don't see aloe in the ingredients). So it may well work beautifully for someone else. Just be aware that you need to look at the ingredients.
