Crimps oetiker clamps well.
Crimps well. Very similar to a Lisle tool I have been using for years. Gearwrench is a good brand.

Good to have for crimping cv boot clamps.
FYI, the tool was meant to be use for clamping while the drive shaft is out from the car. If you have to crimp the clamps while attached to the car. There is limited space the tool will fit. And if you need extra leverage you have to use two breaker bars. This gives you less room to work with while attaching the clamp with the drive shaft attached to the car.

Works really well.
Used this to clamp/seal new axle CV boots. Works perfectly. No leaks so far. I have also used this on irrigation repairs.

Exact tool to buy
Don’t waste your money on the version from advance. Great tool too bad I may only use it a handful of times in my life.

Works as intended
This clamp did the job just fine for me. There are cheaper ones on the market but beware, I have had one break on me before, which isn’t surprising since a lot of force will be concentrated into a thin sheet of metal. Lesson learned: go with this one and save your time.

It works!!!
Great tool. Make sure to buy one with the hex rachet attachment points. It comes in handy. I used a 18" breaker bar and 3/4" rachet with this clamp. No problems.

This tool is built like a tool should be built, solid and strong. You can put a 1/2" torque ratchet into it and you know the job will be done right the first time. One thing that I did to have it open and close as smooth as silk was to add a bit of machine oil where the three parts of the tool come together at the pivot point.
