I got a metal bunk bed/futon at big lots. I got it cheap because the hinges were missing.This set screwed on directly without any kind of modification.Very good construction, works perfectly.I did not notice any kind of triple click anything. But it works good.I would highly recommend this set.

I used this item to make a jack knife sofa in my trailer. Worked like a charm!

Much to my amazement, these fit well and worked to repair a European made futon frame. I had to drill one 5/16" hole through the metal frame, but all the other screw holes lined up. The original hinges were bent like pretzels by my kids jumping on the futon, these seem a bit stronger but aren't cast iron. They're meant for couches that are used occasionally. This is fine for us, we don't intend to switch between seating and sleeping very often (and the kids have grown up). if you have a futon frame that you put up and down every day, these may not be ideal, but do consider these if the measurements seem to match.

I don’t think it will last, the material will too thin

Bought these as a replacement to a set of the same hinges that I have had on my guest futon for the past 7 years. Unfortunately my original set bent and buckled under the weight of the futon mattress. I am unsure if it is due to my negligence since the hardware that I had holding my original hinges to the futon was slightly loose from my last major move. I am hopeful that these last a while since they are extremely nifty.

Hinges are better grade then original ones. Work perfectly well with gliding movement.

These do not have clickable positions (aka detentes) -- this is a misrepresentation. They operate smoothly through a range of motion with no detentes whatsoever -- no clicks.The mounting holes were not aligned and the futon transmissions had to be drilled and ground to fit. The manufacturer could put additional holes for a range of cushions and does not.Also, seller states in 'Questions Answered' that the unit can be against the wall and the bed will end up tight against the wall. This is patently untrue! The sofa/bed must be 5" away from the wall or the sofa back scrapes against the wall. To put it back to a sofa from the bed position, it also needs 5" clearance. This means when the sofa is in bed mode, it ends up with 5" distance from the the wall as well.They will suffice, and that's about it.

This DIY fit perfectly. Was afraid but it worked out well. Need to provide more accessories like this. Will buy again. Shipping came in in 4 days. Great product. More durable than my original hinges.
