I have an old Monitor with DVI connector that was sitting around and my wife suggested to set it up as a television. Taking that challenge, I realized that I needed something more to make that happen. I had an extra Google Chromecast that wasn't being used, but the challenge was how to carry the audio signal since DVI doesn't support audio. Also Chromecast doesn't support DVI directly (only HDMI). Discovered this product that has HDMI input (attached Chromecast to Converter), used speaker plug to extract sound to external speakers. Ended up finding an appropriate DVI cable for video (connect to Monitor and Converter) and works! Have been using this product so far for the past few days with no issues so far and Video/Sound quality is great. With this setup, you have to "cast" from a mobile device or computer to Chromecast, but once you understand how to do that, it is easy to watch Television/Movies. Very Happy to get this to work with low cost solution. Wife is happy!

This product is a great value and works perfectly. I thought it wasn't working right and the colors were messed up, but I had to change the color setting to HD on the monitor.

Employed to add video streaming to large format monitor lacking HDMI via DVI port. So far, excellent HD Image with synced audio.

I only get one channel of audio out of this device - not even mono, just the left channel signal. Video works fine.

Worked great except power adapter was DOA. Luckily I had one that fit it.

This product is an excellent way to connect a monitor with a DVI input to an Amazon Fire TV Stick. I am using an NEC Multisync 20WMGX2 monitor (with a built-in TV tuner) and the video quality using this converter is excellent and the videos and movies are HD quality. The setup was easy and when combined with a 2 Port DVI switch box ( also purchased from Amazon), I can send the video and audio to the monitor either from the Fire TV Stick or desktop computer. The switch box has manual switches on the front to select the channel to input to the monitor and also a remote control so you can switch from computer to Fire Stick from the couch! I used a Y-shaped 3.5 mm headset adapter from Walmart to connect the audio output from this video converter to the audio input on the back of the NEC monitor. So, the audio output from the computer is attached to one leg of the Y-adapter and the audio output from the video converter is attached to the other leg of the Y-adapter. Then, the adapter is plugged into the monitor audio input. Only one output is being used at a time, so this works well and eliminates the need to plug and unplug audio cables from the monitor. I also used high quality video cables, which helped to prevent degradation in the video quality.I would definitely purchase this product again or recommend it to my friends who needed a high quality converter.

The converter allowed my older DVI tv to accept my hdmi firetv stick with sound.

I had an old Dell monitor gathering dust that I decided to recycle into a monitor for an Arcade Cabinet. I have a Raspberry Pi connected via HDMI to this converter… which routed the video signal to the DVI port of my monitor and the audio signal to my amp. It works perfectly for this type of application. Very pleased with this purchase. If you want to build your own arcade cabinet and have an old monitor lying around that doesn’t have HDMI, you can’t go wrong with this. And on a personal note… if you don’t have your own arcade cabinet, you should really consider building one.

I recently got Bang & Olufsen Beocenter 6/23 TV from around 2007. It doesn't have HDMI but DVI instead. TV has timeless design, picture quality is great and sounds amazing. It also has motorised stainless steel stand.This converter is perfect solution. I have Apple TV 4K connected to it via HDMI. I get DVI and RCA out and can connect them to Beocenter.Converter is a steal for £25.99. Beocenter and stand were bit over £100 in total. If anyone is looking for gorgeous second TV, strongly recommend looking eBay and getting one of these vintage beauties.

My brother asked me to hook up an apple tv to his old projection tv he had in the basement. I originally said by a new tv but heck he like it. I used this to hook up his rear projection tv to the apple tv. He is extremely happy with the outcome.Enought said.

I got another screen which can support 2500 resolution but this converter can give max to 1200. Hence the screen comes blurry.

My TV did not have an HDMI connector but only a DVI connection. This converter worked well to separate the sound from the video signal and allow a DVI connection. Sound output is 2 channel stereo or 5.1 channel surround sound.Very pleased with results after a long search.

I bought one a month ago. I have a 60" Sony Wega LCD that is 16 years old. The converter worked perfectly for one month. It stopped working. I reset it and it worked two more days.I bought a new one and it lasted ONE day. I have tried reset the new one and it will not work.
