Great cheap crossbow
Great cheap crossbow. kind of slow (when comapred to a barnett predator), but completely reasonable considering. set the brace height appropriately and it definitely helps. scope is like a 22 scope and does the job fine, just isn't the highest quality and doesn't adjust accordingly to the stated mil scale. still was able to get it dialed in and it is accurate. bolts are cheap and will come apart eventually including the tips coming out. went to 16" bolts. and bought extras of the 14 inch. trigger is a little stiff and so is the safety. it is a mankung crossbow and can be tweaked and modified to achieve more power. little leary about hunting with it other than at close range but I thing it will do the trick. for the price this is a great item and the crossbow itself is pretty high quality when compared to price. use a cocking rope and put the back of rope around the buttstock will definitely help.

Worth the money
Very nice bow. Just a few issues though. There needs to be a more detailed instruction manual on how to properly put this thing together. I only had the poorly detailed pictures on the cardboard to go on, but i think i built it correctly anyway. The stock isn't exactly comfortable. I was hoping for some padding or some soft material but it's manageable. Another thing (and probably because it is a crossbow) i could not get the string on to save my life. It finally took 3 of us guys to get the string on so i hope it doesn't break anytime soon.On a good note, the wooden finish is very nice and has some shine to it. Didn't expect that. It is very accurate as I've tried it in windy weather and it still hit the same spot every time. I've seen the YouTube video about the guy who stripped his thumb from firing this bow and i wanted to add that he was either trying to fire with a "thumbs up " or he just had some extremely tall thumbs because there is plenty of space between the path of the string and the wooden part of the bow that rests on your hand. I tried to replicate how he would've done it and it turned out to be an uncomfortable position to hold the bow in, so stripping any of your fingers is very unlikely. Good beginner's bow. Gets stopped by foam about 3 inches thick with the foam inside a cardboard box. Not too heavy. Loads fairly easy. That would be something to add in the manual. I didn't know the safety had to be off when cocking the string. Also didn't know that the first initial pull to cock it only releases a latch that catches the string on a second pull. Weird way to load the string but whatever works, i guess. Add in the manual and I'll add another star

Great crossbow buy the stringer so easy.
This is a great well made crossbow for the money. I see alot of reviews about getting the string on spend the 5 dollars and get the crossbow stringer the string is not to small if it were bigger the bow wouldn't do its job and also if you read the directions when you pull the string back you have to push the safety on yo lock it the first time. Shoots great I also purchased string wax and extra string incase it broke but no problems so far you have to wax the string and rail every 5 to 10 shots scope is for a pellet rifle but if you have a pellet gun you get a new scope for it lol. I recommend this product for beginners on crossbows or people that just like to shoot them it is very accurate and powerful better than sa sports fever used my neighbors that bow is truly a waste of money.

Tears up the bolts
Every bolt that we have shot with this bow tears up the bolts. The fletchings get torn apart. The ones that came with the bow and the extra bolts we purchased. We have tried every way we could, and it keeps tearing them up. The bow is faulty.

Brutal Beast!
This bow is the perfect no frills, destructively effective machine. Beautiful in its simplicity. It’s a 150 lb monster, so it can be difficult to cock. But as long as you run the cock assist rope up around the rear of the stock, my 10 year old can do it. If you try to brute force cock it...good luck! This monster will run a 14” bolt through a 3/4” sheet of plywood. If you want simple, beautiful and brutal, buy this bow. I love it. It scares me, but I love it.

The bow shoots great. As long as you can hit your mark ...
I bought this bow for my wife. The bow shoots great. As long as you can hit your mark it should not have an issue taking down a deer. Stringing it together took some effort though. We had to prop it in between two chairs to get it strung up. My biggest complaint is that it does not have a catch on the back of the rail to use a cocking device with. If you try to cock it on the rail the cocking device will slip and take out the scope. Most men or older boys should be able to pull the string back without the use of a cocking device but I know my wife can't do it on her own.

He loved it! I read the reviews and there was ...
I purchased this crossbow for our 15 yr old son. He loved it! I read the reviews and there was one in particular that highly recommended this one. Our 21 yr old son now wants one. There were a couple of things that we didn't care for but also knew of ahead of time from other reviews. The lack of instructions and the scope. We have never messed with a crossbow before so not having detailed instructions was frustrating. The scope, not great at all. But I figured it wouldn't be by other reviews. Also, not sure how to attach it with no directions. I don't feel that we need it anyways, but you did feel like you were getting a little extra in your package. Definitely will recommend this crossbow!

the bow itself is very nice..
Overall, the bow itself is very nice... wood finish is good... the quality is pretty darn right for the price... I might just buy another one... BUT, as others have noted, the scope is a toy... useless for me... in the trash it went.... and I took the rear sight off too.... I just rigged a very basic open sight system... It is not hard to find and use screws...(# 6 or 8 x 32)... The arrows in the kit are cheap grade aluminum and can't take the force of impact from the bow.... Yet, as rigged now, using carbon fiber bolts, I get a really tight group at 50 yards and it hits hard... almost no drop... which is satisfying, especially for the low price... A good, inexpensive way to see if you want to pursue cross-bow shooting...
