Thunderbird Pyramid Flame Insert

I've had this thing for 3 months and it works flawlessly. Flame is perfect for my particular use. I use it at least 20 times a day or more.Shape of flame is awesome.My only gripe is that the springed mechanism that helps close the zippo case gets bound up. The only way to stop it is to just use it or manually pop the latch closed and back open. I think it has something to do with the spring itself. Your experience may be different, but I've had 3 Vector/Thunderbird inserts and they all got bound up. To clarify, it just feels rough when closing, the tab that moves to open and close the lid rubs against the side wall of the lid when it opens and closes, it just tends to feel rough when I'm experiencing this issue.Still worth it! Just buy it.

These work great, modernized my favorite old zippo.

Well, I ordered one of these around 2 months ago. And loved it! I’ve had the single & dual jet zippo inserts, and the corresponding thunderbirds as well before this. I guess it’s all going to come down to what you’re lighting as to which to choose. Brand wise the zippos seem to be higher quality, however the TB’s hold much more fuel. As for this flat jet model, it’s essentially equal to a single jet, but the heat is spread out so it behaves like it has half the power while still wind proof. Unfortunately, mine has developed a leak somehow, and now is quickly approaching worthless. I may be crazy, but when it was god this thing was great, so I’m gonna buy another and cross my fingers

This lighter insert is junk. And it fits no lighter casing on God's green earth. You've burned money by purchasing it; you'll not burn much by having it.

Seems well made, but none of my butane canisters fit the fill port...I have yet to buy Vector butane though, which Im sure will fit...so I spill/lose a bit of butane while filling...lights every time even when low and can be adjusted to a full 4-5 inch torch...HOLY COW! Only real tick I have with it is that it only stays lit for 5 seconds unless it's ABSOLUTELY full...weird, it will relight immediately after cutting out...but I feel like it should stay lit forever if I need it...though if what you're trying to burn won't light after 5 seconds you need an umbrella or scuba gear more than a fire...I ordered a Thyrm Pyrocase for it, hasn't arrived yet....we will see...!

Without a doubt the best torch insert on the market. I still rock the first one I bought in my Kiss Zippo and its my main lighter. WAY better than the actual Zippo brand torch insert, which ironically is horrible. If anyone tells you different they're delusional and/or over sentimental about the zippo brand.. the thunderbird lights every time, has a clear butane reservoir so you can see how much fuel you have, and thus far has been 100% dependable. Unlike the bame brand inserts.. I've bought several more since the first,. Definitely worth the money. all four work absolutely perfectly. I've actually started collecting Zippos because of these. I've always hated the taste and smell of old school lighter fluid but this thing changed the game lol

Never quite fit my zippo case properly, after a month it broke the hinge on the zippo. Used it without a case and got about a month out of it before something broke loose and it stopped working reliably. Overall it lasted me about as long as 4 disposable lighters.The ignition system was great while it worked, reliable flame every time I pushed the button down. It was lightweight and easy to fill and check the level of fill on it. The pyramid flame did not light my cloves very well compared to dual flame lighters. It was a decently wind resistant flame, I could use it in the car with the convertible top down.
