Makes good espresso!
As an Italian woman, I must say, this moka works like a charm! The very first cup of coffee it brewed was good enough to drink, and that's quite an achievement. My brother-in-law, a true coffee lover, also gave it a thumbs-up last weekend. However, I have one small suggestion regarding the instructions. The makers suggest washing the moka with soapy water, but that's not how we Italians do it. To keep the taste of the coffee intact, you should only wash it with water. Soap can ruin its flavour. So, I kindly suggest that the instructions be revised accordingly. Hope that helps!

It doesn’t work!
Serial coffee addicts with a range of stove top makers, bought this to replace an old one of ours. It doesn’t push the coffee through, just creates a lot of steam, and is therefore pointless. Sending it back after several attempts to get it working.

Loose lid
Lid is very loose, not a good fit at all. Making the plastic thumb grip extremely hot when checking the pot to check contents are finished filtering. Other than that it's working fine.

Very thin steel, didn't think it would be robust enough, but so far, so good!

Don’t press the coffee into the filter
Perfect for your coffee. Over packed the coffee in the filter on my first go and could not work out what I did wrong. On my 2nd attempt just spooned the gofer grounds not the filter and it worked perfectly. Lesson learnt. If you grind your beans suspect that it will taste even better. Highly recommend….

I bought this a I assumed it was the same quality as a smaller one I’ve used for years.Unfortunately the metal base is too thin to contain the pressure build up and suddenly distorts causing it to topple and spill boiling liquid … extremely dangerous!!!

Non è acciaio 1810, non adatto al cibo
The media could not be loaded. Purtroppo ho scoperto solo quando è arrivata che non è acciaio 18/10 anche se è acciaio inossidabile non va bene col cibo
