Hello, each cork ball stopper for wine decanter is approx. 2.4 inch/ 6.1 cm in diameter, and you should measure the diameter of the bottle before you buy these cork balls, avoid making a mistake. Thanks.

Will this cork ball be too big if the diameter of the bottle is 2.4 inches?

My decanter has an elliptical opening, 2.5 x 2.375 across each mid-point. The ball sits about an inch into the opening, so my dear husband screwed an attractive cup hook into one of the balls so that we can retrieve it. I tried to add a pic, but it didn't take. Since then, I have learned that a small piece of Stretch-tite plastic wrap works just as well. Good luck...if this helps at all.
