This Skinny Tan No-Tox Beauty Elixir provides an immediate glow with slower self-tanning that follows.You get a 30ml bottle of serum and it is designed for facial use. You apply it like any other self-tanner - apply to clean and preferably exfoliated skin and then wash your hands immediately to prevent them from "tanning", too.I use self tanners in the winter and have used many brands. This one is unique because it is a bronzey color and adds color to your face immediately - like makeup. But it also has a self-tanning ingredient that is slower and buildable. The scent is lovely and you can catch whiffs of it for a while after. The color looks orangey when you first apply it but it isn't orange at all within a couple of seconds.One thing I do notice is that this is a subtle self tanner. It does not tan as quickly or provide as much color as some of my favorite brands. If you are used to darker self tanners, you likely will not be as happy with this product. But if you are very fair skinned and just want a touch of color, this is a very good choice.

I love this serum, which does a great job of combatting photoaging on the face and neck, and also offers the bonus of a gradual sunless tan that is buildable, so you aren’t adding more new sun damage on top of old; you’re simply giving yourself the gift of a gorgeous sunless tan that looks radiant and natural while also taking great care of your skin and nurturing it healthier. It’s a win-win-win!I’m a skin cancer (melanoma) survivor and very outspoken about tanning sunless, and long term sun skincare. I’ve tried a lot of sunless tanners and Skinny Tan is my absolute favorite! This No-Tox Beauty Elixir has great, skin friendly and earth friendly ingredients, is vegan friendly, and is not tested on animals! It’s also very hydrating and anti-inflammatory, with great ingredients such as aloe to keep your skin nice and calm. The scent is also very pleasant and not “self-tanner”, so it’s quite nice to use either day or night. I tend to use all my sunless tanner in the evening, but this one is also perfectly good to use before makeup in the morning, as it provides a very light, bronze glow over the face, neck, and décolletage immediately upon application. I do have a few of the Skinny Tan pink velvet mitts designed for sunless tanner application, but I’ve found this elixir is best applied with my hands (just be sure to wash your hands afterward if you use your hands!)All in all, I can never say enough wonderful things about this - or any - Skinny Tan product. I used this product consistently for several weeks, no color and it did not "smooths or plump". I guess I'm the only that thought it smelled weird too? Anyway I wouldn't recommend this or purchase again.

As a person who applies self tanner to the rest of my body but is religious about sunscreen, I always have a problem with my pasty white face. If I skip sunscreen, then I get melasma and hyperpigmentation, but if I use sunscreen then I am pasty white.Sunscreens for the body do not work for tanning the face - you need something delicate for the skin like makeup that won’t make you break out and still looks natural.I applied this on a clean face over the weekend to see how I would like it. I love it! I was freaked out at first, thinking my skin would turn out the fake orange look that is dispensed out of the bottle. I applied it lightly, but was very skeptical. It blended in and made my pasty skin look as if it had a healthy glow - working as a moisturizer at the same time (sure wish it had an SPF….)The build was gradual enough that I didn’t have any weird dye marks on my face, and with consistent use I was able to match the rest of my body’s sunshine glow. I highly recommend as this didn’t make my skin break out, wasn’t greasy and was very lightweight easy to absorb.I have naturally pale, sensitive and somewhat dry skin. I am in my late 30s, white female, with melasma and hyperpigmentation.

Oh, I really like this stuff! As a 'beauty elixir' or serum, it's good--very smooth and lightweight, and it absorbs quickly and leaves my skin soft and glowy. I don't really know if it is truly 'skin plumping' as it promises; I'm too busy loving the gradual tan it has given me! No dramatic overnight tan, as if I'd jetted down to Cabo after work and returned home just in time for breakfast, no weird orange hue, no funky smell, and no tanning cream breakouts. I love how subtle and gradual it is. It makes it easier to catch any lines or splotchy areas before they're too prominent and cover them with a bit of makeup and then smooth them out with this stuff. It feels great on my face, too.While I am familiar with the Skinny Tan brand name, this has been my first experience using one of their products. It won't be the last, though, because the cherry on top of the Awesome Sundae is that this product has no parabens or sulfates, and it's 100% vegan and cruelty-free! Yay!! Very happily recommended!
