To get yield MUST be whipped until the color darkens (dramatically) and viscosity changes.
The TotalBoat instructions say mix for 15 to 25 secs (depending on temperature), but how "intensely" you mix makes a bigly difference.I needed about a dozen 20-24 oz batches for my project. My yield was low until I got lucky and mixed it (always using a drill mixer) a bit longer / faster - when the two parts transitioned from a uniform creamy tan color to a significantly darker coffee color. The color change was kind of dramatic / instant and it seemed to be accompanied by an equally dramatic change in viscosity. Prior to this little discovery, I would mix it (what I thought was aggressively) for the requisite time, achieve a consistent (creamy tan) color and pour - always to be disappointed with the yield. I was mixing 24 oz in a half gallon container, and there were times, I was concerned it would sling over the top of the pail before "the change".I recommend that you do a greater number of smaller batches instead of one big pour if you can manage it. The expansion "seems" to be more reliable that way, and all you your eggs are not in one basket.I got the 2 gallon - 6lb / CuFt kit, and found that the finished product was robust / tough / solid and probably expanded to the advertised ~3 CuFt volume after I got the mixing thing sorted. The 6lb stuff is definitely harder and denser than any polyurethane foam I've used before. The cured foam can be tough to cut with a serrated knife.Obviously, you need the correct temperature (75 to 90F, yep the tech guy at TB said 80F is great, but up to 90F is ok), and the correct mixture (1:1 by volume, 1:1.09 by weight - because the activator is heavier). Here's why they got 3 stars:1. Come on Man! TotalBoat knows people are disappointed in yield, and I did everything by the book, only to wind up with - you got it - low yield! They should add a tiny note in their description to make sure purchasers know to whip it good - till it turns coffee colored and the viscosity changes. Heck, they could even make a video.2. First go around, TotalBoat mailed me only the Part B (see pic). Come on Man!3. Second round, TotalBoat mailed me a Part A that was leaking! There's an aluminum seal, but the cap was not tight (Drrr!).It's like they have a good product, but then just don't try.I tried to include a link to the technical data sheet for the 6lb foam, but AMZN would not allow that.Godspeed.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Never foamed up. Made a huge mess. Cost me $330 7 man hours to clean up.
I read the directions, follow them, temperature was appropriate. I read to expect this to reaction to be quicker than expected. Instead it was a wet firecracker. Very little, almost none if it foamed up.I bought two packages. The one I tried had a dented metal case, which I don't think would have any effect on the contents. My impression was this was old expired product.I am shipping it back. Amazon tell me to ship back the empty containers also. What I found was that after mixing thoroughly, instead of foaming up, it just slowly leaked out of the form. I used 4 rolls of paper towels, and then saw some foaming action. Think it was finally starting to cook off I left. Two of my laborer arrived the next day to a huge puddle and they spent 5 man hours cleaning up the mess. Most of which never set off.I'm going to cut foam panels instead. It is ridiculous to pay this much for a product that does not work as advertised. Don't ever buy this sort of thing mail order. If you do, and a container looks at all compromised, do not use it.Final thoughts. I did not check to see if there was a date on the cans. I don;t think there was because I read it over pretty thoroughly.

DOES NOT EXPAND AS STATED
NOT WORTH IT. I BOUGHT THE 2 GALLON KIT OF 6LB FOAM TO ADD STRENTH TO THE BOW OF MY HOUSEBOAT KNOWING THE KIT WILL YEILD ENOUGH TO FILL THAT SPACE AND MORE BOY WAS I WRONG IT WAS 86 +DEGREES THE DAY I POURED THE FIRST 3 BATCHES HARDLY EXPANDED BUT WAS HARD AS A ROCK WHEN CURED THE 2ND 3 EXPANDED MORE BUT WAS VERY BRITTLE I CUT PUT MY FINGER THROUGH IT IM NOT SURE WHAT WENT WRONG BUT AT THIS COST IM NOT SURE I CAN GAMBLE WITH THIS KIT AGAIN TO FINISH MY PROJECT.

Don’t expect full gallons
Bought 2 of the two gallon kits to replace saturated foam in my boat. The foam worked good but I was left with approximately a 1/4 of a gallon of the activator because they shorted both of the gallons of resin. For that kind of money you’d think they could at least give you the amount advertised and paid for.

Product consistency varies
I purchased 2 2 pound kits and the first 2 gal kit I got, worked perfectly without issues. The second 2 gal kit I got didn't expand as much as the first one did. They were both poured on the same day however the first expanded and filled cavities but the second filled 1/4 the same cavity size to liquid volume.

Great for skulls! Probably works on boats too?
I usually use BITY 6# rigid foam but decided to give this a try to see how it compared. It didnt expand bear as much as BITY foam does but the end result was great. It probably has 5 to 6x expansion of both parts mixed together. I added a urethane foam pigment to make the skull gray so this will be the beginning of my Fiji Mermaid gaff.

It works
Arrived on time. Be aware...it doesn't go as far you would think. The bottom of a 16 foot boat takes 4 gallons! (approx 1 to 1 and a half inches thick) Dries as hard as a brick!! Took a small electric chainsaw to trim the excess off. FLOATS. lightweight after its set. Be careful how and where you pour.

Expensive for what you get
While it makes a nice hard foam, it really doesn't expand as much as claimed. Cured product is similar to gorilla glue. I've used this three times, each time folowing instructions exactly. Perhaps 4x expansion.
