Royal Kludge - Lovely Keyboard!
Initially, I was put off by the name 'Royal Kludge' (if you're from the UK, this is only one letter away from being a mild-yet hysterical swear) but my hesitations were wrong! After ordering this product following some recommendations on YouTube and a few friends, I was looking for an entry-level keyboard and something that I would be able to later customise (with removable switches & keycaps) as well as being well-built. This product has met all my expectations!I did see some other reviews regarding that fellow customers expected more from the build quality, though for the price - I cannot argue with it at all. It feels durable, well made and very tactile. Sure the construction isn't metal, but the quality of the product is there. The background lighting is also brilliant - it had many more lighting modes than I expected - In fact, I prefer this to my basic Steel Series keyboard! The way to change the lighting settings is by holding the FN key and the '~' button (FN+~). The way to change the brightness is to hold the FN key and use the Up/Down arrows too.A slight issue that I did run into was connecting this to my Windows laptop (it worked perfectly on Mac & and iPad via. Bluetooth) but this was quickly resolved by browsing the online for a fix so I will impart some knowledge here that I've found online: If you see the 'Q' key flashing, it means that it is attempting to connect to a device which it has already connected to, if the 'P' key is flashing, it means that it has entered pairing mode. On the Q/W/E keys, you'll notice a 1, 2 & 3 - I think these are for the different Bluetooth devices that you can switch between when working.Whilst this may not be for someone who is a dedicated programmer, and the size of the keyboard maybe a bit small for some (as it's not a full sized keyboard), this will be fine for 90% of people who are in the market for a decent keyboard.

Beautiful keyboard
I love RK so much, this keyboard is spectacular and is pretty cheap for such good quality! Also if it malfunctions and the windows buttom doesn’t work try holding FN and Spacebar for about 5 seconds

Great for general use. Some idiosyncrasies for programmers...
I bought this in UK ISO layout with brown switches so that a friend could try out a mechanical keyboard. Her verdict as a casual user - nice, but the lack of riser feet to adjust the kbd height is a deal breaker for her.For me, as a developer preferring keyboard strokes to mouse-wrangling, it's good to look at, pleasant to use and accurate. Sound-wise it's not too noisy, keys and stabilisers all have a satisfying 'thunk' out of the box. I'm not a fan of the keycap font used, although it seems common on gaming-oriented keyboards. I am pleased to see that I can likely find replacement UK ISO keycap sets for this board.I find the top row visually very cluttered however with four different legends on each key. The choice of Fn+LeftCtrl to switch between alpha+(Fn)Fkeys and Fkeys+(Fn)media is understandable but unfortunate as it clashes with common keyboard shortcuts in my IDE where Ctrl modifies a function key. To be perfectly fair I haven't yet found an alternate 68-key board that handles all of this well without also reducing to zero the options for replacement keycaps.I can see myself using it as a travel keyboard, but not everyday. Nevertheless for users without my particular use case, for the price and quality I'd recommend it.

I’ve had it for a couple of years now

Love this
I bought this as I can't type on flat laptop keyboards due to arthritis and carpel tunnel, and then blinged mine up with retro keycaps, but bought the wrong keycaps, but 97% retro caps is OK. I've made it so it slants at the same level of an old typewriter keyboard, and I can virtually type normally and fast again, love the lights and colours, and the yellow/gold looks great with the retro keycaps, I'm not a gamer, I'm a 76 year old ex typist who in the day, came second to the fastest typist in the government department I worked for, she typed 99 wpm, I typed at 98 wpm! Can't get that on pc's they go at their own speed, but I love this keyboard, the small size is perfect, and I love the clicky noise, I'm back to 1965 again! It recognised my laptop in seconds, and is ready to go when I turn on in no time at all. Perfect. I'm glad I chose this one.

Very nice once modded
I bought this keyboard in the UK layout in black, with brown switches. After watching many YouTube videos on this board and how to get the most out of it, I decided to get right on with the job.2 layers of closed cell foam 3mm in the base.A dampener sheet between the pcb and top plate.Holee mode for the noisy stabilisers. (This mod is really is worth doing, even if you think the the space bar sounds is OK, you will be amazed.)And what a key board it has turned to be.Fantastic size with just the right amount of keys for every day use. looks good , sounds good. It is good.I have just received some Akko jelly black switches to put into it as I did not like the brown switched that came with the board.

Greta Keyboard buut Bluetooth only is a let down
Its a great keyboard and highly recommend it as long as you dont want to ever tinker with your PC, however, I had to return mine as it is Bluetooth only and I was not able to access my PC's bios to make any changes, it lost 1 star for that, this is due to the fact that the Bluetooth driver doesnt actually load until Windows is booting up, instead I brought a 2.4ghz KLIM version from Amazon which also looks great and does work pre Windows boot.
