I feel really strong and powerful when I use the "Hammer of Thor" to crack open a bottle of the finest mead. It is a fine hammer and works exceptionally well, as only a hammer of the gods can do. When I wield the hammer, it takes me back to days of old in Asgard.

I was super excited to use my new bottle opener but was severely disappointed when I couldn't pick it up. It literally was sitting on my front porch for 8 days, I just couldn't pick it up off the floor. I don't get why a bottle opener would be so heavy.... One day my friend Steve came over and he leaned over and picked it up effortlessly. He used it to open bottles which it worked great with. Then he left it on my kitchen counter and went home. It's been there ever since. I would say it works great but the weight is poor design as I cannot use it without Steve around....

It’s entirely made of plastic except for the teeth that grab the bottle.

Despite many reviews claiming it works fine, mine is actually a bit awkward. Sometimes it only slightly lifts the edge of the cap and I need a second crack at opening a bottle. Also, the price seems a bit high for how cheaply it seems to be made. Mostly plastic (again, as other reviewers have stated).Still, it looks cool and opens my bottles of soda with more style than anything else I've used. Yes, I said soda. Not beer. Never touch the stuff. Don't get me wrong, I drink! Just not beer.And after reading all the other reviews I can't believe that nobody pointed out how the packaging states it's for opening beer, AND it's for ages 3+! Now my there-year-old can have a Bud without needing daddy's help! Yay!

So this thing is plastic and seems flimsy, but it’s not. I’ve used it multiple times and even banged it around. It’s held up just fine! Literally, I smacked it against the wall and hit the counter with it and a couple beer bottles. Still holding strong and works good.

I honestly bought this just because its cute. Our family is obsessed with Marvel and I thought it would be fun for the kids to play with. I was right. Its the perfect size for my 3 year old to run around yelling "Son of ODIN!" etc. It is a little chintzier than I thought it would be. For some reason I thought it would be all metal, but most of it is some sort of plasticky alloy stuff. I don't imagine it will last too long in our house but it is fun!

Such a cute gift idea. It was the hit of Christmas! The only drawback is that it was so awesome that many bottles in the house got opened that day - (not a problem if the bottles could have been resealed), and the recipient wasn't everyone. It's like a mini metal Thor's hammer. Great gift for bottle drinkers everywhere! I highly recommend.
