The best headphones I've owned.
I own quite a few Marshall speakers and I love the look and sound. The previous incarnation of these headphones, the III, had some build quality problems, so I avoided them. Cue me going through many different sets of Bluetooth and wired headphones, some cheap, some not so cheap. Never lasting and not one of them sounding as good as these. Beautiful, detailed sound. Comfortable and with a very solid feel. They're nice and lightweight and have very good connectivity. I hope they last as well as my other Marshall equipment.

Impressive!
First song listened to was ‘Restore my Soul’ by The Choir, an atmospheric spiritual with hard hitting drums, lingering electric guitar, reverb infused vocals. The track recorded with excellent separation between the instruments and vocals, very well produced. The Marshall Major 5 had no problems conveying this track as the artists may have expected let alone myself. The sound is clear using my iPhone 15 and very, very listenable. If this is the Marshall signature then I like Marshall, a lot. Very balanced and if you are coming from Beats headphones these will impress imo. The build quality is excellent with no immediate weakness evident. The Spotify button is off the charts for quick access, instant connection. This can reassigned to EQ and other functions if required via the EQ. The toggle for payback, track choice and call control is also excellent and nicely made. What can I say, just an excellent product for purpose, very happy with my pair and the price is more than fair for these. No regrets.

Good sound quality, great battery life
These are the only wireless headphones I've owned so I can't compare to other brands. However, I've really enjoyed the sound quality and fit so it does the job for me. I purchased for £60 while on 'deal' which felt like reasonably good value..note sure I'd pay £120 full esp though.Battery life is impressive. Regular use for an hour or two every day and a quick charge once a week is more than enough to keep them going.

Great with equaliser app
I’ll admit it took me a few hours of listening for my ears to get used to these, sound-wise, but now I love them and they’re the best headphones Ive owned so far (but bear in mind they’re also the most expensive ones Ive ever owned so I was getting what I paid for before probably)I had to do some serious adjusting of the equaliser to get more bass and less treble. At first I was slightly disappointed with the sound, but after some fiddling about with the settings in the app and letting my ears adjust, I love them. If I had gotten the Major IVs and couldn’t use the app, I don’t think I’d like them so much and might have returned them. I’m used to very deep bass headphones and the bass on these is on the higher end (punchy and very powerful but not super deep).I have attached a photo of the equaliser settings that work best for me and suit all my genres. Rock, heavy metal, pop, techno, everything really. These sound particularly good with dance and techno, the bass is crazy powerful. When I listened to ‘I’m an Albatraoz’ (If you know you know) I laughed at how good it sounded. I ended up redownloading a ton of songs I had previously got bored of and I fell in love with them again, hearing sounds in them I hadn’t noticed before. They are pretty comfortable and fit my very small head well. I have had to return countless headphones because they would just slip off my head or look ridiculously big on me. They do get a little sore on the ears after a while but not as badly as any other headphones Ive owned.I noticed a lot of people complaining that they didn’t like the little joystick button on the side for changing volume and skipping track, but its one of the best parts about them for me, I absolutely love it and it’s so easy to use compared to other headphones I’ve had. Can’t get my head around why some people don’t like it. Also I love the button on the other ear that you can choose a function for, like switching between equaliser settings. The sound leakage isn’t as bad as I expected, and I don’t miss the noise cancelling. Finally, the turning on and off sounds are great. I get a fright with the usual ‘power on’ voices with other headphones, but these just play a guitar riff instead. Love that. Notes going up for on, notes going down for off.In conclusion, definitely worth the money, but I would opt for paying extra for the Major Vs so you can use the app to adjust the equaliser settings as they make a world of difference.

Nice ones
Okay I've had them for a week now so it's time for a review. I chose them because of the 'retro-ish' design, they really stand out amongst the others. The sound quality is really good, they are light and comfortable to wear even if you have a smaller head like me and are easy to operate. Had no issues with connectivity - please read the paper instructions to pair them up! it's not very intuitive but easy once you know. The price was good because I bought them when they were on sale and I had a gift voucher from my friend. Buying for the full price - I would give it a think and consider other brands or maybe the newer model of this one.One thing I didn't realise is that the Marshall app is not compatible with this particular model somehow. Of course, if you are not a sound enthusiast and all these little adjustments don't matter to you - as I don't normally fine tune the bass or anything else when listening to music - it's okay. But if someone was looking to use this function via the Marshall app - it's a disadvantage, especially at this price point.I used to listen to music via regular airpods and got used to headphones pausing the music/video when I take them off. These are not as smart but the small control knob can actually pause music, take/finish calls and skip music tracks as well but you have to learn how to use it, it's not very obvious from the beginning. The battery is really long lasting, I haven't charged them since I've got them and I've been using them for a couple of days regularly, even took them on a daytrip. They still work and don't require charging.Overall, it's a good pair of headphones, and at the end of the day, Marshall is a brand that has been famous for making good quality professional sound equipment. We'll see how it goes but can't complain so far
