I Love Music: My First Sound Book

My 15 month old grandson loves this, but I use it for supervised play only with him -- he tends to be too rough with the on/off switch. But the sounds are lovely quality, and are played on real instruments by real musicians. I'm really glad I got it for him. UPDATE: Two and a half years later, he is still enjoying the lovely music sounds when he comes to visit.

I love this series of books and choose to carry them in our music books for children collection section of our musical specialty shop inside “Florida Violins” in Venice Florida. I have three different ones from Marion Billet “My First Sound Book” selections, and they are wonderful books for young babies and children. The quality is top notch and the short musical recordings are such great additions to these colorful and educational books, and they definitely captivate the young ones that I’ve shown them to.

I love this book and my son loves it.

We LOVE this book! Interactive books are the best but this was cute because you can put your finger on the sound spot and listen to each instrument. Perfect even for little fingers. We received our first one as a gift and my boys used it so often it that we had to purchase a second due to all the wear and tear boys often cause lol!

Both my grandchildren loved this book 7 years apart-it’s wonderful it has real instrumental sound and you can shut the power off to save battery life-buy this book if you love music and want to share it

This is a nice little book. But the first challenge is getting the pages apart without damaging the pictures. The edges of the pages are raw and the pictures for each page are easy to peel. We had to use book tape to finish the edges or our little guy would peel them all off. Sounds are great and representative of the instruments- just wish it was more kid friendly. Also would be helpful to make the button they push to get the sound more obvious...sometimes hard to find. Update: I originally gave it a 2 but upgraded to a 4. This book is so loved by my grandson that it is the first and last thing he wants to play with. He had no problem figuring out where to push. We have bought a supply of the batteries (LR1130 - 10 Pack for less than $5 with prime ) in case the battery dies again. The is an on off switch and I would suggest using it. Great sounds and great idea! Update #2 - sad to say the beloved recordings have stopped playing. Battery change not helping. We have been careful with book and kept it in plastic container when not in use. How he loved this book. Sad that it died before the batteries

We received this book as a gift, and our son loved it as a little baby to hear a brief clip of an instrument. As a toddler, he loves to push the buttons to play the music clip himself. We bought a second copy and he enjoys reading and listening to it. I highly recommend this book as a baby shower gift or personally for you own little ones.

This is one of the best children's book I've ever seen. Each page has an animal character playing an instrument. Touch the spot and you hear that instrument play. This is the only book that keeps my toddler engaged throughout the musical interaction.
