Wasn't Expecting Much.
I purchased this mask for a Halloween costume. I didn't need anything over the top. My costume is simply, "Retired Batman." As long as I had a cowl to go with my golfing attire, I was satisfied. To my surprise, the mask was well beyond anything I was expecting. I was expecting a flimsy material. A thin latex with floppy ears and an overly shiny finish. I realize the picture and the actual product never match 9.5 times out of 10. This is that rare .5 where what I see is actually what I got. The mask is a flat black. No shine, no gloss. It's heavy, and resembles more of a hard material like in the films than it does a latex rubber mask. The mask is very sturdy. The ears stand upright, however I did need to stuff them with toilet paper just to shapen them up. I assure you this was just me being picky, and stuffing the ears wasn't really a requirement. Of course, this doesn't mean it is without it's faults. One eye hole is slightly bigger and there is a small dent in the nose. The eye hole is not a problem once I paint black around my eyes, as it's no longer noticeable. The dent in the nose is only noticeable if you're looking for it. There are two velcro strips on the back. One strip is almost ready to fall off. This actually isn't a concern as I plan on either moving it to a different spot to make the mask even tighter(it's tight as is) or removing the velcro and adding a zipper to it. There are better masks/cowls out there. Generally they run in the $250 range. If you are a serious Cosplayer, I would either invest in a different cowl or create a custom one which matches your head. However with a few tweaks like adding a zipper to the back, this mask could make a very good first time Cosplayer Bat-Cowl, for very cheap.

Please don't ...
This mask is horrible. it look like Batman was watching a movie about a girl coming out of a well. Either that or they thought I ordered a mask of deformed latex man. The mask is really tight an uncomfortable to wear. Feels too small to be an adult size mask. If it was bigger and not so deformed it probably would have been a really good mask.

I'm Batman
Well not really, but I do have a Batman mask. This batman mask was purchased as a gag, and I was actually surprised at the quality. The picture of the mask is as it shows. It's a really nice looking mask. The mask fastens with two velcro strips on the back of the mask. One on the lower portion of the head, and another on the neck. It likes to form in a way it sits, so be warned. Stuff the mask with a towel or get a mannequin head. I just stuff mine with a towel, and have it on my shelf now. It fits nice, and snug on the face. Not too loose, and not too tight. No bubbles or dips in the finish of the mask. Great quality for the price. Edit: (July 25, 2014) It's nearly been two years since, I purchased this mask, and it's barley starting to get loose around the lower lip, and upper chin area. Mostly due to taking it off, and on. I still recommend this mask for the price.

For a once a year thing, this mask works great, however, it comes with noticable "oopsies"
I wanted to get a actual Batman Cowl I could wear at work and create a laugh for the customers. For being around 30 bucks, it did a pretty good job. When I put makeup on and such, put on a cape, used the nolan batman voice, it looked and sounded good. However, I do not recommend this for someone who has a really large head (Especially if you are quite overweight, and have a fat face.) Reason I say this is when you attach it in the back, it squeezes your face, and your cheeks. I wore this for probably about 4 hours. And let me tell you, just a hour of wearing this, I was dying to take it off. My ears hurt, and I sweat a lot in it (It all drained to the nose piece.) This mask is more meant for a large head, if your not fat (Unless there isn't much fat on your face and neck). It fit almost right on me. Its just not comfortable to wear longer then a half hour, unless you have a slightly smaller head, then at least it won't be so tight and uncomfortable. Now the GOOFS of the mask. - One eye hole is clearly bigger then the other - The mouth hole part is noticably uneven. By this I mean it looks 1.5 inches on one side, and 1 inch on the other side of the nose - Due to how its shipped, some parts of the rubber may curl inwards, or take a shape you can't fix without doing lot of heavy tweaking. For me a corner of a eye hole curled inwards, and it was noticeable, and it scraped on your eyebrow. It was annoying. I recommend you fill the mask with tissue or paper, so it doesn't lay squished. -The trimming on the eye hole and mouth hole was pretty sloppy, I had to use a razer blade and evenly trim the edges. It looked like it was rushed. Be careful though, with one eye hole bigger then the other, it can make it look even more weird if you cut too much off by mistake. - The Velcrow may need some additional glue. parts of mine weren't.. Also, you may have to stuff the ears with tissue, so they stay in shape. Easy enough. Its also not shaped like the picture, the bottom portion that would go under your clothes (Recommended), there isn't as much show in the picture. Its pretty much just the neck park. Doesn't go much farther then that. The back piece goes farther back some like a V. All in all, Its a pretty good mask for the price. Its not perfect, but its pretty damn decent. When I had everything on, I looked just like batman. Pretty awesome. Just remember not to wear it for long periods. Actually wish there were vents in this, so it can breath. However if your looking for a perfect mask, this isn't quite it. There are visible mistakes, some fixable, some not.

Echt wahnsinns Maske die echt was her macht.

I am so pleased I got this. It totally looks the part and is brilliant for both parties and low level novice crime fighting. The rubber stretches around my head well and the velcro secures it around the back. It fits snuggly but is a bit sweaty when worn over long periods especially if chasing bad guys through Gotham. The way it covers your nose and ears does restrict breathing and hearing to a degree however looks the part even more so if black eye make up is added around the eye sockets area as in the films. Minus the full costume effort on its own it looks a bit final-scene-of-Pulp-Fiction wrong and not really suitable for a children's party as I intended but in the full gear it looks brilliant and only a little intimidating. It is worth noting that it is in no way armoured and thus can't really be endorsed as appropriate for any unwise costumed vigilante escapades but is perfect for fancy dress. The utility belt, gloves and cape I used for my effort are added in links below. Hope that helps a bit batfans! https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B073ZWXY92/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0073E54I4/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00QF71FWO/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
