They scratch through it very happily, and make themselves little nests. It’s dry and fluffy and easy to clean. I’m about to order more.

This is my 2nd time to buy this product and I still like be it. Tremendous deal on the amount of straw you receive for the price and it keeps my coop smelling fresh for a long period of time. This is my favorite for my coop bedding ect.

Overall this is my favorite product to use nesting boxes in my chicken coop,it’s great stuff and not super expensive. This was my first time ordering it online through Amazon. I usually pick this up at the feed store but it seems like they’re always out of it these days. The price was about the same or a tad less and shipping was free and lightening fast so i like not having to remember to pick some up as well as not having to pack it home cuz it’s not light. (Very compacted packaging so once it’s fluffed up you get a lot more than it looks like!) But i’m giving only 4 stars because even though the shipping box was fine, when i pulled the packaging paper off the top the first thing I saw was a very obvious and somewhat large hole that’s been torn in the pack, that had to have been obvious to whomever packaged it. Anyway, it’s not a huge deal, could get messy and did some in the box but not enough to cry over and I can stick some packaging tape over it and wont mess with a return but i do keep mine in my shed outside and i don’t go through it super fast so something like this could potentially be a FAT invitation for rodents to move in, make a nest, have hundreds of babies and all live happily ever after. :/ In chicken-keeping you do everything possible to avoid just such a scenario as RATS and mice love to hang out where chickens live. Probably a one time thing and I would and probably will give this seller another shot. :)

I use this with the Petmate Precision Pet Excelsior Nesting Pads Chicken Bedding - 13X13 Inches - package of 10. Works great together. Ensures easy cleaning of nest and my chickens and Guineas love nesting.Also in this Stressful time: Friends I know most of you have children of fur, feathers, scales, shales and or hooves. I am going to suggest using Amazon. I regularly order chicken scratch, mealy worms, organic pig pellets, organic goat pellets, organic alfalfa pellets, dog food, and lots of other things. Larry and I were Amazon Prime members since Prime started - I have continued it and will renew in April. I consider it one of the best investments I ever made. Stay safe out there

My chickens love it and love foreinging through the hey seeds. A littel dusty lately but my chickens love it the best.

This hay has been a wonderful addition to our brooder. I add a little each day and the chicks go nuts for it. It keeps them busy while I clean. It helps with the smell. I will definitely keep using it in their coop.

Even though I will probably remove this from my automatic mailing, I love this product. My chickens and ducks love it as well. It is soft for in the egg boxes as well as for their feet in the hen house, it helps with the bad odors, is absorbent and overall an excellent product. But as a senior living on a fixed income it is too expensive to continue using exclusively.
