Philips Automotive Lighting 9006 CrystalVision Platinum Superior Upgrade Automotive Replacement Bright White Headlight Bulb, Fits Select High Beam, Low Beam, Fog Positions (2 Pack)

I recently replaced my fog lights in a 2007 Toyota Avalon XLS with these bulbs. The driver's side bulb was actually shattered and the passenger side bulb was in the process of melting the bulb glass. The difference is impressive. My fog lights actually are useful now. The package I received detailed that the bulbs were made in Germany and the light output is in the range that has the most effectiveness for human vision...e.g. not too blue but not too yellow either. I also replace the high beams at the same time with the same brand 9005 bulbs....the difference in that case was even more impressive. For my application, these bulbs were outstanding. YMMV. Now to replace the low beams.

Got the price very low because certain people are not figuring these out just like the 9005. Great product, these model bright lights great & have no issue. Great deal light when people can't install them!

Great to product but it took over a week to get here.

The stock bulbs on my 2003 Toyota 4runner were starting to look a little dim. So, after polishing and protecting the polycarbonate headlight lenses, I decided to order new bulbs. These are definitely brighter than stock bulbs and have a cooler, whiter color. They are not as bright as some of the high end bulbs from Philips or Sylvania, but they also don't have the high price or shorter lifespan. I have seen many of those lasting little more than a year or 2. I will be happy if I can get 3-5 years out of these. Installation was fairly easy. The hardest part was getting the bulb housing loose from the back of the headlight enclosure. If you are buying these to increase the brightness old headlights, don't bother if your lens enclosures are cloudy or yellow. Make sure to first polish your lenses and cover them with a new UV clearcoat, then get new bulbs.

I have been using Phillips Crystal Vision bulbs in damn near most of my vehicles that I have owned over the past 10yrs. The bulbs are always easy to install (assuming you're mechanically inclined and can follow simple directions). This set was no different. I know the goto for most folks are LED or Xenon bulbs, but honestly if your vehicle doesn't have projector lenses then you shouldn't be running the afomentioned bulbs. Should you do so, you will be throwing light everywhere and be THAT person that we all hate. With that said these bulbs make perfect sense. They are bright and crisp and will get you to where you need to be safely. Just make sure that your headlights are aligned correctly. If you follow this then you will have no problems with your new white lights. The only downside to Crystal Vision or any other aftermarket high-powered bulbs is that they won't last long. I usually get about 6mo out of them before I notice about a 20%-30% drop in brightness. However they are still good for about 2yrs or so is what I have noticed. Plus if you pay attention to the package, they do have a 1yr warranty on them. Just contact Phillips and they should have no problem sending you out another pair without issue.

I've been very disappointed in these bulbs. I replaced my headlights and fog lights with LED bulbs a couple of years ago. I love the crisp, white light that they produce. Unfortunately I had issues with them flickering and after two different sets I decided to go back to halogen bulbs. But I didn't want to lose the white light, so I did a little research and decided I'd give these a try. They had good reviews, so I was hopeful. Sadly, these bulbs let me down. I knew that they wouldn't be as bright as the LEDs and maybe it's not fair that I compare the intensities of the different bulb types. But after having the others for a few years, I now feel like I can't see anything more than about 20 feet in front of me. And as for the color, I specifically chose these bulbs because of their supposed white light. There is nothing "white" about the light these bulbs emit. They're the same awful yellow color as every other halogen headlights on the road. So, for bulbs that advertise superior light output for seeing farther while emitting clean white light, I have to say they failed miserably in both regards.

The bulb itself worked and was the correct one for my car, but the silver ring on the light was a few MM too thick to fit into my 2004 corolla headlight housing

The pictures in amazon clearly show the bulbs are made in germany but this is a scam or simthing like it! My order arrived tody and it was made in chaina (P. R.C)! I will never buy philips bulbs from amazon again.
