Hi R Lee H, The Condor Tactical hat is made in China i just read it from the tag of mine. I will say it is a very nice hat with that one draw back.

Is this a flex-fit or adjustable cap?

Adjustable. Pair it up with a silver and black U.S. flag patch and you'll have one sweet cap.

How do i avoid the mesh style when ordering?

I ordered from extream tronics . No mesh on the tc-018 . The ones with mesh had the word mesh in the discription. Possibly i was just lucky. Hope this helps.
