I currently have 4 steel roller blinds on the outside of my home that are operated seamlessly with the Somfy MyLink remote and integrated into Alexa, so I already have the Somfy MyLink wifi adapter. I wanted this inside blind adapter to compliment that and add my inside blinds to complete the whole house. Not only was this fairly easy to install (about 20 minutes) but adding it to my Somfy app was a breeze. Now, in the morning, I say "Alexa, Good Morning" and my roller blinds all roll up to my preset position and the inside blinds open perfectly to let in the light. At sunset, Alexa automatically closes all the outside and inside blinds, set my lights to a soft blue, turn on my TV in the gaming room and get me ready for an evening of fun gaming. If you are tired of running around your home adjusting the blinds depending on the time of day, let in light or shut it out, or just set the perfect setting to keep your home temperature right due to excess sunlight, this is the perfect solution.Now for the only issue: The instructions are crappy in the box. And you don't get One box. It's like everything is sold separately, then bagged up and sent to you. Absolutely horrible. The controller itself is nicely presented, but then you get the remote, battery, and charger all thrown in like "Oh, and you might need these too." Do better Somfy. Fortunately, the online videos are a blessing and walk you step by step through the installation. Do not count on what's in the box to help you in any way. They're mostly disclaimers with no real instructions.Oh, and one final note. The Somfy app integration with Alexa is kind of crap. Yes, it works nicely when setting a specific group of actions. A "Scene". But let's say you want to open one blind. You have to say, "Alexa, ask Somfy to turn on the Living Room blind." Seriously? Turn it On? Not open? And there is no way to set a blind to the "My" position without using a scene preset in the Somfy app. I mean, it works, yes. But very cumbersome and not intuitive at all. Hopefully they'll take this opportunity for this new additional product to update the app so it's more accessible and easier to use.

these are obnoxious to install. I was so looking forward to open blinds when I woke up in the morning, but it only happened once. I installed both motors on the blinds in my bedroom and they worked well for one day. In the middle of the night one blind started opening and closing repeatedly. They never worked correctly again even though I went thru the setup process multiple times. the one blind would not pair with the other and would not open or close at the same or similar times. Thru amazon, Somfy offers technical assistance, but they NEVER give it! I am returning the whole set up.I have installed motors on other blinds that were easy, quick and they still function 10 years later. The company doesn't manufacture the kits anymore, so I was hoping with such a big name as SOMFY i would get a better and easier product to install. WRONG! I only wish I could recover the time that I spent trying to get these to work correctly.

The concept is good but it requires to do a non-reversible modification on the blind. It requires to remove the string wheel that turn the blind. That mechanism is mounted on the frame and cannot be put back once it is removed.I returned it since I don't want to remove that. The value of the system is kind of expansive. It does not have the interface to the phone. Additional interface is needed to work with apps. The unit has several adaper so it should fit most of the 2.5" blind. Noise is low. The quality is ok if you install it correctly.

We have 4 blinds that were opened every morning, and closed every night so people couldn't see in. Once we added these motors in, they all open and close automatically and in sync. Pretty cool.After installing the 1st one, the other 3 went in super quickly. Programming was tricky when grouping because the instructions said to hold the button, but all it needed was a quick tap. Once we discovered that grouping was a breeze. Will buy more for other rooms

The media could not be loaded. Organization of items in the packaging was really well done. Because they are trying to adapt to so many styles and sizes of blinds there are many pieces you personally will not need. If they had all been dumped in a bag it would be be very confusing. Instead, the packaging is setup very meaningfully making it easy to locate just the pieces your blinds require. The instructions for installing all the hardware was also well thought out and made the process flow well. However, the process for programming the remote needed to include some better breakdown dealing with the channels. I messed it up the first time and needed to reset the motor to get it correct for grouping. The instructions don't even talk about grouping. You'll need to seek out youtube 3rd parties. After that slowdown though it works really as I'd hoped. (I did think while buying that it was able to be used with a smartphone app. I didn't realize that was another several hundred dollar purchase. So I'll stick with the remote). I'm a little concerned that the connectors for the power seem really fragile. They are proprietary instead of usb and tiny. The instructions even mention that fact.

Would be 5 stars if it came with the advertised remote. Product description says it comes with a situo 5 remote (MRP $105 and controls 5 channels). It actually comes with a situo 1 remote (MRP $80 and controls only 1 channel). Otherwise good product. Easy to install, works well and actually DOES work with cordless blinds--just have to make sure you have >5" available space inside the rail for the motor.Updated review: informed the seller that the wrong remote was sent. I offered to keep the wrong one but asked for the price difference to be credited to my account. They reimbursed me within hours.

Product worked for two days then stopped communicating with remote. Probably needs reset but wrote twice to customer support they did not bother to reply.
