Used on my Sequoia 2010’ with Dot key as suggested by the support, I had gone to their website and emailed them for advice since the starter they had specifically for the Sequoia was only for G key, they suggested this one for Tundra same year ant it works perfectly from the moment I programed it. It’s ideal, works with your current remote fob, and after I start it I just put the key in and turn it to on like normal, then break, shift out of park ( that’s when the headlights turn on, since normally they’d be on already) and I’m off. If I don’t put the key in and step on the break the car will shut off. Also it only stays on for 15min, then I’d need to remote start it again or just get in and turn the key as usual to start. Love it. Easy install only thing is the video that comes with the product (via QR code) and the instruction are a bit like a kids puzzle, you got to put them together a bit. But YouTube probably has a whole step by step one so look for it maybe and see how simple it is!

Installed in about 20 minutes. This product works perfectly. Very well made quality product. Looking forward to years of use. Thank you Start-X!!!! I paired this unit with a Compustar remote (just email the startx support and they will guide you with what remote to purchase) I simply plugged the remote connector directly into the start x unit and now I have 3000 ft range on the remote. I have literally started the truck from inside the back of a big box store walked out to the middle of the parking lot and the truck was running. No worry about theft with the start x units they immediately disable the engine if the brake is depressed prior to putting the key in the ignition. Great stuff all around for a fraction of dealer costs. I hope more come online for other vehicles!!!

Very easy to install

Worked great on a 2008 Tundra. A cost effective solution for an older truck in the northeast. makes those cold mornings a bit better. The wiring connected up as expected. Required a bit of skill but its manageable, there's a couple instruction videos on youtube the walk you through the process..

This works fantastically. I would highly recommend this product if you have a vehicle without remote start. It uses the same keyfob as your current remote, so you dont have to carry an additional one. The manufacturer's instructions are not the best. Look on youtube to find a better guide. Only had 3 weeks but has come in handy during winter. I Bought the Amazon protection plan bc some people said it quit working within a year...

I followed the provided instructions exactly as written as well as copyimg the video guide. Unit installed correctly but it will not program. No phone number to contact support. When I found the parent company's phone #, their voicemail is full. Wasted a ton of time for nothing, very disappointing.

Easy setup. Instructions are very straightforward, and programming was easy. Works like a charm.. Highly recommend on getting this remote start. You can do it yourself instead of paying a high dollar for some shop to install a remote start in your vehicle.

So far this has been one of the best upgrades I've done on my Tundra. Once installed it has worked flawlessly. It has several safety features that seem to work well. For example, after remote starting you must get in and turn the key to the on position. If you accidentally (or absentmindedly) turn the key far enough to engage the starter, the truck will shut down to prevent grinding the starter. Looking forward to have a warm truck during the winter. My only con is that the instructions/instructional video could be more clear as to connector location.
