Daiwa Opus Plus Saltwater Spinning Fishing Reel

I bought the model 6000a and i am satisfied with the reel.I will use to surfcasting.

Ordered this reel for my dad's birthday gift, anti-reverse system broke after few times use(not due to a strike or something), the quality isn't match with its price, really disappointed. Tried to replace it with another better reel and willing to pay price difference for it. I guess the seller just started to ignore me. Bad product, bad customer care service, bad bad bad.

broke after two times use...the antireverse is totally broke...not the quality expected from daiwa.

The Opus Plus 5000 is totally different in appearance from the monotone gray in the picture. but it's much more appealing! It has a matt black frame and sculpted black metal handle, which contrast nicely with its gold anodized aluminum spool. Casts well, retrieves very smoothly, and balances perfectly on my 9' Penn Spinfisher medium action graphite rod. I would have given 5 stars, but I have some concerrns about the durability its ABS frame, versus a metal frame. After several fishing trips, if it holds up to normal wear and tear, I hope to do a follow-up review with five stars.
