The watercolor pencils are good quality. The grips on the pencils are helpful.

Love the quality and vibrant colors
Good quality pencils with vibrant colors, softer in texture than other pencils so easier to draw for young kids. And the water color is so fun!

Nice Set
Nice set of pencils at a reasonable price. However the paintbrush included is garbage. Loses hair on every use. Count on buying a better brush in order to use this set.

Nice range of colors
I love using these for sketching before watercolor painting. The outlines blend into the painting rather than being a problematic standard pencil mark. A nice range of colors to match watercolors or to use after watercolor painting if I want the outline detail to stand out. This set seems to work just as well as the more expensive brands. I've used these several times and have yet the need to sharpen, I think they'll last a long time. Great value for the price.

Hard lead, bright colors
I’m going to keep these, but I wouldn’t order them again. Pros - Good range of colors. The bright colors are bright and saturated. Cons - The lead is very hard: you need to press pretty hard to lay color down on cold-pressed watercolor paper. The included paintbrush is useless. Also - I paid $14.72 a week ago, and now they’re $12.22, so if you’re thinking about trying these, keep an eye on the price fluctuations. (24 pencils. I accidentally swatched one of the greens twice.)

Great for Beginner
I just recently discovered watercolor pencils, and wanted to get some that were what I perceived to be as "middle of the road" in price and quality. I really like these. To me, they work just great. The "grips" are a nice feature. I think the value is awesome...most sets I looked at only contained 12 pencils for around the same price. I also bought a water brush too: Pentel Arts Aquash Fine Point Water Brush, Medium and it works fantastically with these pencils! I can't compare these to any other pencils, so maybe there are better ones out there, but for beginners, these are perfect!
