Just the right size for a couple. Easy to set up and clean. Storage is easy since it folds flat and the bag is good quality . Great for cooking or just enjoying a fire without needing huge piles of firewood. I do recommend getting shorter pieces of wood but the stuff you buy at campground will work just fine. We may purchase the larger version in the future but this size has worked well for us so far.

I arrived at my camp site and the existing fire ring was swamped with rain water. No bueno. Luckily I had this thing that made a really good fire pit. It sets up easily. I really like that it secures to the base and it's also easily moved around. I can only fit maybe two logs that you'd get from a purchased bundle at a grocery store. But it burns well. It took a little while to get the fire going. I also used it as a charcoal grill. Oh man. This was awesome. I'm usually a propane guy but I didn't want to lug my grill with me to my campsite. Today, I grilled some chicken shish kabobs and chicken wings. I had some trouble getting the briquettes lit and going. Once that was solved, the grill worked terrifically to cook my chicken. Took about 25-40 minutes for the wings, about half that for the shish kabobs. The fire pit has a piece that allows the grill to be set at different heights. You can't really adjust it during cooking, without having to place the grill somewhere else. With that said, it's actually easy to remove the grill grate from the fire pit. It doesn't come with a cover so I had to scrounge for something that would work for it. It folds up conveniently and fits into a square ish canvas bag. It takes up very little room, serves dual purposes as a fire pit and grill, and only requires briquettes and starter fluid. It does get discolored after use. I purchased the medium size. I think I would have preferred the large. It's okay for a single person but not big enough for more than one person.

I just received mine today. I got the MT-035 which gives roughly a 12.5x13” cooking area. I got a bundled kit where I received the full set and an additional grill. This is perfect for preparing veggies or fish separately maybe or just handy to put over an in ground fire pit for hot dogs, marshmallows, smores, coffee etc while using the actual grill set up for a meal. The bundled set was $70 and I had a $5 coupon plus rewards points so after taxes I paid $65 for it! Let me tell you, this thing is heavy duty but I won’t be hiking with it so no biggie. It’s well built and the heaviest part is the actual pit for which I’m glad, and if I want to make a fire to sit in front of I have no doubt it can handle firewood. The extra grill that came with the bundle fits in the canvas bag that’s included. The bag is also heavy duty and lined which is a nice plus. I’m keeping the bubble wrap for the cast iron charcoal grate so I can store it in the bag. Other reviewers put that in the outside pocket but that pockets seems made for cooking utensils as it has another strap right above the pocket for holding things against the bag while in the pocket. In any case the bag is well made and can handle the additional grate I received as well. I am looking forward to using this soon in a camping trip or I may just use it in my back yard for a bonfire. Buy it, you won’t regret it. Get the bundled deal it’s worth it.

Perfect for car camping. The best piece of kit I have. Has great air flow which means very little smoke. I also love the grate top for cooking. Used it when power was out after hurricane Helene. Cooked for four people for a week, worked great. I have the large size. Its made very sturdy out of heavy gage stainless steel. I know I will be using it for years to come.

Campfire set up anywhere you want, very useful for outdoor and quality is top notch!

This was a great addition to our family camping trip. Positives - size, easy assembly, easy to use, handles stayed cool, sturdy base, ash catcher, different cook levels, packs somewhat flat so easy to store and fits in car nicely. Negatives - heavy, grill grate didn't feel as secure as we would have liked, grate not very easy to clean. Overall we really liked this grill and it's a must pack for any camping trip.

Bought this to replace same size Snow Peak Grill. The bridge and grill were rusted and cost a lot to replace, literally twice the price of this entire kit! Only $95 as "open box." Just as sturdy as the Snow Peak, even better because of the leg latches. Even the bag is nice, highly recommended.

excellent alternative to Snow Peak at half the price. The grill is better piece than SP imo. excellent quality, design and finish quality. This is our go to cooking grille now and works amazing.

I researched a lot of other grills before purchasing. Glad I got this one as it seems to be built very sturdy (all from stainless steel, the base, body and grill). The only thing that is made from heavy gauge iron is the grate that holds the wood in the base. The steel is quite thick and enough for the purpose of the fire pit but not too thick so that it’s too heavy to carry. Best part is that it’s so compact once it’s folded and stored away in its carry bag, fits perfectly in my limited storage space in garage. I got the middle sized grill, and although it’s enough for what I need there was a slight thought ‘I wonder if the next size up would be better for bigger feast’. It probably would be better but then the fire pit would not fit so well once stored away. One thing though, although not a big deal, the carry bag has a frayed handle strap. Although intact, it has potential to progress over time. Campingmoon support has been in touch that they will post out a replacement bag. No further correspondence from Campingmoon since their last email, but am sure it will get posted out soon. Highly recommend this.
