The interdictor cruiser was designed a major part of the Empire's response to the elusive Rebel threat. Its gravity-well projectors are capable of wrenching enemy ships out from hyperspace, and its Deployment along one of the galaxy's hyperspace lanes can spell doom for unsuspecting Rebel Captains. The interdictor expansion pack introduces the interdictor miniature as a medium-base Imperial ship, as well as two ship cards, and fourteen upgrades, including the new experimental retrofit upgrades, gravity well projectors and grav shift reroutes. Review: “It’s a trap!” But you’ll love these ships! - I bought this originally to “collect and display” but now I’m curious about the gameplay and am planning on getting the core set and see if the wife would be interested in playing a few games. The model is very nicely made and has a lot of detail to it. My original intention was to display this on its stand but when I got the desertcart package and opened it, it looks awesome in its packaged state, with the big display windows in the front and back of the box you can see the top and bottom of the ship, it’s awesome and staying in its original packaging for now. :D As far as the game is concerned, I don’t know, I wasn’t planning to know or cared. I’ve bought a few of the Empire ships and I’m planning on a few more that interest me as well as a few “rebel scum” ships too like Leia’s from episode IV. After I get the Armada’s core set and convince the wife of going a few rounds with me, I may or may not “open” my Empire Armada collection of ships. That’s if I get hooked. Anywho, love this ship! I would recommend waiting to purchase the ships you want until they drop in price. I bought this one for $11. Will buy more from this vendor. Review: Big, Beautiful Beast - I gasped when I opened the box containing my new Starhawk. Much like the SSD, the pictures don't do this model justice, The scale is just huge and the detailing is impressive. I couldn't bring myself to put it away with my other Armada ships. It's currently sitting on my desk and I've caught myself staring at it periodically throughout the day. While I understand some of the frustration around the Starhawk's lack of canon, I don't really understand the people who think it's ugly. Its design reflects the lore behind it: a recognizably Rebel-style capital ship construction from appropriated ISD material. The artists who designed the model did a great job of telling story through form language and small details. My one hesitation with the Starhawk (admittedly having only used it once in play thus far) is that for the money, buying several smaller ships may actually be a better value in terms of overall gameplay. While this thing is a tanky BEAST, both for game points and real world dollars, I think there are ways to construct fleets that have more flexibility and resilience. But those are just first impressions. That said, I don't regret buying this for a minute. It's beautiful, fun, and adds a much-needed new element to Rebel gameplay. It was nice to see my Empire-focused buddy feeling a little intimidated for once. In all, a great addition to Armada. Thanks, FFG!

Nice detail - great new rebel capital ship!
Nice model with good capabilities. Tough (9 hull), and good speed (3) and maneuverable (2 clicks on the maneuver stick) for a large ship. Also has a balanced front and side armament (5 each), and adequate shields. Also includes a good new set of upgrade cards. This famous ship was part of the Rogue One movie, and was destroyed. However, it was successful in relaying the Death Star plans to the Rebels.

Great ship. Lets you think outside the box.
One of the few ships I'm considering getting another of. The primary function of this ship isn't really that useful (changing other players speed), YET (it may be useful later) but it has some other unorthodox usefulness as a tank/healer. With 9 hull, and a 2 Command ability, you're essentially getting a cheaper Imperial Star Destroyer with the Relentless title, without the forward guns. If you drop an engineering token on this thing and use an engineering command dial, you get 8 engineering points in one round which allows a TON of healing power. Throw on Wulff Yularen (who lets you get that token back), and some projection experts, then you have healer who can shoot 2 shields to another ship, and heal 2 damage cards (or 3 shields) on itself every turn that you draw a engineering command. Update (3/6/2019): Ok, so... I now have three of these. With only 400 points to spare, the strategy I've come up with is to make them all tanky, and to have objectives that require you to collect tokens for points rather than guns. And it's worked pretty well. For extra meanness, I threw the gravity well projector on all three, and that's enough to completely blanket the other player's deployment zone so that every ship he deploys must start at speed zero. Threw tractor beams on each one also, so any medium or small ships that come close (after speeding back up) get slowed right back down. However, if you're facing a fleet with Admiral Ozzel (like I did the first time I tried this tactic), Ozzel ruins all your speed changing abilities.

Feeling lucky are ya?
Looks gorgeous, a wonderful addition from the canon. Nothing like a ship tooled from the yards of the Imperial Star Destroyers to add some Rebel spice to your battles. Having this variation added is actually getting for excited about the next wave of Clone Wars additions. I just hope it is an addition to the existing game play and they don't try an Armada 2.0 like they did with X-Wing. Looking forward to hammering on my neighbor's SSD with this beast!

Still a good product
Given that the ships in this package are meant to carry tie fighters. You think they would come with some Tie Fighters. Overall it’s still a good product but they could have made it perfect by including 4 tie fighters. Or even some Tie interceptors.(this would sell a lot more with those)

Fantastic model
I don't play the game, but I got this model because it's so fantastic! It has an incredible amount of detail, which together with great coloring and weathering lend it scale and gravitas. It looks like a heavy diecast model, but it's surprisingly (incredibly) lightweight. The clear stand is very unobtrusive and helps create the illusion of a floating ship. I collect spaceship models, and this is one of the best in my collection, if not THE best. Very, very pleased with the purchase. Only downsides are the somewhat rickety stand and high price point.

The winged pickle is a beast of a ship. Slap mon cal exodus and pair it up with another mon cal ship for a deadly fleet.

I thought I was done collecting Armada until I was able to get this expansion SO cheap. Now my Empire fleet is starting to overwhelm my Rebel fleet. The Rebels might need a new addition as well ... :)
