MUXXN Women's Retro 1950s Style Sleeveless Slim Business Pencil Dress

I’m in love with this dress! The perfect “little black dress” for me, easy on and easy off. The first thing I noticed is that it was simple to step into, with a long, invisible zipper. All stitching was complete, everything lay flat, and it fits every spot on my shape, as if it were a custom made dress. Not tight or constricting anywhere. The fabric is good (nothing special, ) with a bit of stretch for comfort when bending or reaching. Often, when purchasing a dress from Amazon, I have to take them in on the waist. Not here. It’s a dead-on perfect fit! I was excited when some of the reviews said to size up. That meant the small would be perfect, and that expectation came to fruition for me. My recommendation is that this cut is for those who want to accentuate a small waist, who are looking for simple lines and classic, understated perfection. Out of the package, this dress is deceptively simple. I confess to being initially underwhelmed at that point. But try-on was a different story. No doubt this will be a wardrobe workhorse, perfect for date night, dressy holiday parties, Sunday brunch, dinner on cruise formal nights, and paired with a black lace bolero or lightweight cardigan for funerals. Between the stellar, curve-skimming fit and the stunning asymmetrical neckline, this dress is simply epic. Think Jackie O. It could be accessorized with a pretty belt or obi sash, or just a statement pair of red pumps. The hem came to the exact center of my kneecap. For reference, I am 5’5”, weigh 110 pounds, 34dd bust, size 0-2 in pants, skirts, or dresses. I paired it with a 3-strand pearl choker to better underscore the neckline without covering it, and a silk scarf for variation. Anyplace and any way you choose to wear it, you will exude confidence, with a flair for timeless elegance, and that never goes out of style.

This dress really is deserving of all the stellar reviews. It's the perfect all-occasion, figure forgiving, comfortable, yet chic and sexy little black dress that every woman needs in her closet! For reference, I am 5'8," 152 lbs and a 38C bra and I ordered this dress in black, size L. In most shirts I wear size medium and in most jeans I wear a 10L. I have a pretty traditional shape to my frame as far as being balanced proportions in shoulders/waist/hips/etc. However, I do have a bit of a tummy pooch at the moment (what can I say, crunches aren't my favorite pastime). This dress minimizes that waist issue quite beautifully as it's slightly gathered and tailored at the waist, but without being too tight or drawing undo attention to the area (plus you can never go wrong with figure flattering black). I ordered this dress in medium initially and while it technically did fit, it was a tad more snug than I liked, so I reordered it in large and that was absolutely perfect! The large still clung to my figure, but gave a little more breathing room and was not too big or loose by any means. I love the length of this dress because at my height (5'8") often skirts and dresses don't go past my knees and this one does. I'm a little self conscious about my knees as my legs aren't in peak condition right now, so this dress covers them perfectly without being too long or cutting my frame in a visually awkward way. The fabric is nice and stretchy, but not thin or at all see-thru (in fact it feels quite high quality and sturdy, yet not overly thick/hot), so it is more forgiving on the figure, offers a little shaping support, and doesn't show every little flaw or "jiggle." Although I'd still recommend wearing some shape-wear underneath if you have a few imperfections you'd like to minimize. On a side note, I tried wearing this with both a nude and a black sexy ankle strap heel and personally I think it looks sharpest with the black heels, but of course that's up to personal taste... just throwing it out there if you're shopping for a pair of shoes to go with it. :) All in all I could not be happier with this purchase, let alone the great price! I was so excited to get this dress and it did not diappoint. The pix I took was literally as soon as I ripped it out of the plastic bag. I love it so much. I'm 5'6, weight 138, and wear a 36 D bra. The large size fits perfectly. This dress is so versatile, you can dress it up or down. I'm wearing it to work with a cropped cardigan and kitten heels. I could see in winter pairing it with a cardi and boots. I am recommending this dress to everyone I know. Everyone who has purchase it looks amazing in it. This is a dress that will look great on any skintone, size, shape, etc. One of my favorite places to buy quality dresses is Pin Up Girl Clothing. All of the dresses I have purchsed from them is of the highest quality and Made in the US (which I love and try to support as much as possible). I suspect this style will appeal to fans of PUG so I want to compare this dress to PUG. The quality of this dress more than exceeded my expectations. The material has the same weight and stretch to it that many of the PUG dresses have. The MUXXN is made in China and PUG in the US so how the MUXXN will wear over time I will have to see. I have had many of my PUG dresses over 3 years and made sure to properly care for them. They look as great as when I first purchased them. The MUXXN says you can machine wash it but I plan to dryclean. I hope it wears well over time, but since I"ve just had it a week I have no way to measure that. If you are a PUG fan, I think this dress is a nice way to augment your wardrobe and add some cute pieces for a good price. I don't see MUXXN as a replacement for PUG (you will never top PUG's style and quality, items are made in the US and PUG Customer Service is spectacular.....what can I say I'm a huge fan and will always support them) but a nice way to add a few cute and flattering pieces to your wardrobe at a good price. I already ordered my second MUXXN dress. You just can't go wrong with this dress or MUXXN for the price.

Received it quickly, and looks exactly like the picture. I bought this for a wedding that I am in and the colour for the bridesmaid is mint green so it was perfect. Also comfortable 👍

Very nice cut and fitting . Value for money

I love these dresses. I own several in different styles and colors. I love the thicker material covers all the imperfections. They’re tight and stretchy and very flattering. Excellent for nice events or business professional attire. I order a M and im not a small girl. Hourglass figure with plenty of junk in the trunk and some post-children knockers. 5’5” 180lbs.

Not the best material. Very small fit order 2 sizes up.
