Take the top off the bottle and twist it s l o w l y with both hands. Put one hand on the pump, and the other on the lid and twist n opposite directions. You should be able to feel the pump move into position.

Q: where is the ingredient list, "natural source or plant" does not cut it?

Sorry, I don't know about an ingredient list, but if you haven't already done so you might reach out to the manufacturer. I have used this product for several years, and it is the most wonderful health/beauty product I have ever used.. I hope you are able to find the information you seek.
