I have mixed feelings about that.

Bought a five pack of them. All five are far more than enough for the plastic tote bin which I use to keep my 3D printing filament. I can open the box to swap a roll every few days and I have only had to dry two of them once. Then I opened the rest. Now that all are in the box.. I have not even had to dry any since I first received them last month. ZERO need to build a fancy electronic humidity monitoring dry box.. A filament drier should be a standard piece of kid for the 3d printing hobby anyways. These are also an investment item in that same regard.

It was my mistake for choosing these. I use similar ones for various uses, but one was to create a "dry box" in which to store Sodium hydroxide NaOH, or lye, which is also strongly alkaline. When they arrived I saw the aluminium cases and realised this would not be possible owing to chemical reaction. The metal cases also means they cannot be dried out for re-use in a microwave.
