We purchased this to block the outside view from our anxious pup who barks at everything that passes in front of the window. This can be walkers, cars, UPS trucks, postman, and deer. We've only had it for 3 days but it seems to be working. It's a quality product at a reasonable price!

These blonds are the best I’ve ever bought! I dislike vertical blinds, they trap dust and are hard to clean. This is one smooth shade made of material you can easily wipe clean! Install was easy but the BEST part is that they slowly open with just a small tug of the bottom of the shade! No fighting with those old roller shades! These are far better than I expected!

Very pleased with these shades they block 100% of the light. I do have one very fixable issue due to my windows being side by side. I placed the shades as close together a possibale but still have a ribbon of light. No problem. I just hung some curtins over the shades. Gave the windows a finished look and blocked the ribbon of light. Good product.

We bought a set of these blinds to replace our pleated paper shades. They went up very easily and look great.The material has a weighty feel to it, it’s not thin or flimsy. They roll up and down smoothly with no stopping or starting. The room darkening feature works great especially since these are for our bedroom and the morning sun is bright!What we don’t like is that each of them arrived with a tiny pin hole in the exact same spot. We discovered these after they were hung. We had rolled down the shades before we went to bed and found the damage when we awoke the next morning to a tiny little dot of light surrounded by a black shade. It’s in the exact same spot on both shadesIt’s not a puncture but a manufacturing defectIn their instructions they state to contact them and not the seller if there are problems. I sent an email along with pictures to their customer service dept and I’m still waiting for a response almost 2 weeks later. This is a huge no no in my book. I will never buy a single thing from any company that ignores or refuses to work with its customers. Even if I have to pay more for the same item I will not give a company my hard earned money if they do not stand behind their product.Because the shades were already hung and our old shades were thrown away along with all the packaging and shipping boxes destroyed before we discovered the pin holes we were unable to return them.Edited to upgrade reviewTheir customer service finally responded and we reached an agreement with regards to the damaged shades. They were very fair. I left a 4 star because it took over 2 weeks for them to respond. Otherwise it would have been a 5 star.

We ditched the old aluminum rv blinds and replaced them with these black out shade in an older RV. It’s true black out, no light comes through. They were easy to install and we really like the slow recoil feature. We are remodeling the RV so these blinds have been used everyday, multiple times a day.

Installation wasn't that difficult. There's the option to tighten the inside mechanism by removing an outer cover on the left or right end. This helps with it self rolling up. I have curtain sheers over blinds on the window but in the morning they can let in too much light - waking me up. So opted for this blind instead and it has no problem blocking out the light.I will add here that I mounted it outside the window sill and then found I had to remount the curtain with the sheers over that, outside and above the blind mount. At the top the curtain seems to add some unwanted friction to rolling up of the blind but with adjusting the tensioner it mostly overcomes this.I ordered only one for the side of the bed I sleep on but left the other window alone so it doesn't completely darken the room. I'd say that this blind due to mounting options may let in some light around its borders, but otherwise completely blocks the light as it is not translucent at all. I picked the beige color. When ordering, it seems that there are some color options that may let some light through. Verify in the pictures on light transmittance.

Great item, fits perfectly and puts the room well into a darkness. Easy to install with four screws. Good item for the price.

22”: You have to guide the shade as it rolls up if you want to avoid fraying the side edges — really not a problem for me, but may be for you. Installed inside the frame, but the casing on the glass extends into the window area enough that there is only a smidge of light leakage — A+!
