Very Nice Bargain Priced Rug (that can be easily cleaned with 'Stingray Spot Remover!)
Arrived on time and as pictured. I love the way it looks -and feels. I needed a thin rug but didn't want something that looked cheap or felt like indoor/outdoor, the fibers in this carpet are soft. With as much light and white coloured yarns it will get soiled soon and often but so far has been fine. The grays and blues (we got the blue one) and the styling of the rug manage to camouflage any dirt we have acquired so far, and we have it in a high traffic area of the living room. It "relaxed" within a day, no weird off putting scent, just pulled it out of the bag it came in and unrolled it. We weighted it down on the curly edges/ends with a few heavy books overnight and it was flat as a pancake the next day. --> We have had it now for a few months and I still love it. Last week I went to El Pollo for dinner take out and manage to bring it home, and against my better judgement decided to eat our dinner while watching t.v., and of course I dropped an entire container of their (WONDERFUL) cilantro dressing on the carpet! If you know what I am talking about you know it has that pale green colour - but on the carpet it turned almost neon green! I dropped everything (on the actual dining table) and began to sop and pat up what I could. I got some damp cloths and tried to get up as much of the dressing as possible, then I added some Dawn dish soap, because I know there has to be some form of fat in that dressing, and began to SCRUB trying to get the green out of the carpet. I worked at the fibers for about 20 minutes straight and got up about 90%? but it was already dark and the light was poor and I didn't know how much was left in the carpet until the next morning. The next morning the carpet had DRIED with a bit of the dressing still locked into the fibers and you could tell by the neon green that showed up quite visibly in -of course- the white part of the carpet! So again, I got the carpet quite damp, not wet, but very damp and began to sop again, it wasn't working, so I went to the cupboard and got out my 'Stingray' (Spot Remover- look it up here on Amazon, not cheap, but well worth it for a number of reasons!). I sprayed the stingray into the spots and also onto a veggie brush and began to work it into the rug, because man, what idiot eats in the living room? (me) Any who, it only took about 5 minutes and Stingray got the neon green completely out of the carpet. I wish now that I have taken before and after pics to prove how well it took care of the stain. After a few days the carpet still looks good, clean, and is still soft as ever, and you cannot tell where the spill was, at all. No bright spot, no fuzzing than other the others fibers, it looks perfectly the same. Bottom line: I love my carpet and I love Stingray Spot Remover!

Beautiful Rug! Great Price!
I have owned a 9ft x 9ft Shabby Chic Oriental Medallion Non-Shedding rug by SAFAVIEH for a year now and the rug looks and feels great! The rug is located near the front door, so it gets a lot of foot traffic. I vacuum a lot, and I have steam-clean it once. It is very durable. The Evoke Collection has cream colors, various shades of blue, and some gray. It is a gorgeous, traditional-looking, soft, and sturdy rug. I have ordered SAFAVIEH rugs in the past. I have grown to really trust this company. They make nice rugs.

Nice but returned
It's a nice area rug. I ordered the Ivory/Gray. The ivory isn't a yellow ivory, which is nice. It's more of a cream or buttermilk. I'm not sure how I feel about the blues. The one blue is a little darker than baby blue and the other is more royal blue. Would have preferred navy... There are two shades of gray, a medium gray and a charcoal gray. Also, black spots throughout. Overall, it's a nice rug and thicker than most at the price point. It's formal without being overly formal. I'm in the middle of painting my living room so I will include pictures of the rug near different colors. The left wall is SW Wordly Gray (gray w/ minimal brown), right wall next to couch is SW Accessible Beige (beige w/ minimal gray), hand in picture w/ tip of rug at paint sample is SW Canvas Tan. Also looks nice with Ektorp Lofallet Beige sample and w/ my Ektorp charcoal grey sectional. Edit: Ended up returning rug. Couldn't get passed the blues being off. Our new flooring is being installed next weekend so back to the drawing board. Again, beautiful rug and nice quality. I just wish the pictures on the website were more detailed and had better close ups to see the true colors in the rug.

Dont be impatient..let it acclimate to your room!
My order arrived sooner than was estimated (which is always good)! The colors were exactly what I had hoped..Like some reviewers had said, the colors were not quite as bold as pictured which was what I wanted..its a beautiful rug. I used a 1/2 in felt rug pad by rugpad usa and what a difference..it protects my bamboo floors plus gives the rug a plushness. I would suggest that the rug be rolled out and let acclimate to the room for a day or two like any flooring product..it will relax and lay flat. I did not do that at first in my dinning room ( 5x7 rug) and noticed there were some ripples so we removed the furniture and by end of the next day it was perfect..I anchored my living room rug (8x10) only on one end and let the rest lie flat without anything on it..it has relaxed and is perfectly flat as well..a couple of corners wanted to curl but putting a heavy book on it overnight fixed that. Some reviewers mentioned an odor..i guess that depends on the individual smeller..lol..there is that new product smell when first removed but it quickly goes away..within 24 hrs from my experience. This was a great purchace that added color and change to my room. I cant review to the wear since I just got it, i do have pets but dont anticipate any problems. Great value, great look, very happy! You wont be disapointed- Just do it!

Nothing fancy but serves the purpose it was intended for.
This rug is pretty much as expected, if I could change anything I would want it sorta more naturally distressed looking with more of a pattern than the splattered look it is now. It is as shown, however. Note that it is definitely a cool pallete color. I was hoping, since people said it had some "yellow" in it, that it would have a bit more golden undertones to match the warm tones in my kitchen, but it still looks ok even though its more of a blue-grey. Again, it is as shown in the description image. I have it in my work area in my where I chop, do dishes etc. to ease fatigue, which its great for, as it's reasonably plush. It's also very forgiving or dropped crumbs, debris or small splatters, and spot cleans and vacuums up nicely. Good value.

Great Rug, But Priced Better Elsewhere..
As a housewarming gift, I had gotten a very generous amazon gift card from a family friend recently, and I was looking to replace a very dated rug I had in the living room. I found several rugs on amazon that I liked, but looked around for more reviews and photos of the rug before purchasing because I didn't want to make a mistake and have to return it. One of the rugs I liked was this Safavieh Evoke line, but there wasn't enough photos for me to compare between the two colors I was undecided with: the gray/ivory versus the ivory/blue. Thankfully, a reviewer on Hayneedle dot com posted her photos of the gray/ivory rug (thank you!), and I decided to order that color. But in my search for better photos, I actually discovered that it was priced better on Hayneedle! So the very major added bonus to the photos was the better price I purchased the same exact rug for, on Hayneedle (the difference was about $70, and I could not believe it was for the exact same rug -- brand, size & color)!! Amazon's pricing as of November 2016 is $177.36 and I bought the rug on Hayneedle, for $100.62, plus shipping which was an additional $4.99, which is quite low and beyond reasonable for shipping a large rug, and I still saved a boatload in comparison to amazon. I received my rug within a matter of a few days, and am extremely pleased with it. It isn't a very thick or plush rug (check all the specs for details), but it feels very durable, and is soft underfoot, and exactly what I wanted. I will be able to vacuum on the rug and not worry about pilling or fraying strands of fabric. In other words, no fuss! It also looks so much more expensive than what I paid for it which is the best part. The old rug I replaced was something I had gotten from urban outfitters, which was smaller in size (5x7), and definitely not the best quality (got dirty easily) and that was a $100, which wasn't worth it at all. Needless to say, I am more than pleased with my hayneedle purchase of my new living room rug, which pairs nicely with my mid-century furniture. (And my amazon gift card will just have to wait for another purchase!)

just buy it.. it's a beautiful rug
I admit I was a little freaked out when I opened the package a little bit and saw what looked like teal on the border of the carpet, but once on the floor it looks more like a blue and it's not overpowering at all. There's also a bit of yellow-y gold on this carpet and I admit i had reservations about that too, but in person it's not a yellowy yellow and it's not a color that overpowers the blues and grays in the carpet, so don't be afraid of the yellow. It's such a small amount and so scattered that it's hardly noticeable anyway. None of the colors in the carpet compete with each other or stand out more than the others except for the darker blue but even that isn't overpowering. The carpet itself unrolled nicely and took less than a day to lay flat. It didn't smell at all, and it looks great in my foyer with my blue/gray walls, white bench and white demilune table.. . The background of the carpet is a white.. not a bright white though and even though it get's a lot of foot traffic, it's holding up and staying clean. I've purchased carpets online before and was shocked when the colors were so overwhelmingly vibrant and in your face that that's all you noticed in the room.. Well, I'm happy to say this carpet isn't one oft them. It doesn't overpower the room. It just adds a little ambiance.. hey, like those big words? Lol.. Buy it. You won't regret it.
