I would say yes since I weight 128 lbs. And don't have any problems at all.

We bought these for 2 adults, 1 child, and 2 large teenage boys for snorkeling. They worked great for everyone. You can take off sections to fit each individual. This belt is awesome!

yes, I bought this swin bell for snorkelling purpose. We just came back from cuba Jibacoa (breezes Jibacoa). The bell is very perfect for snorkelling, you can swin very confortable (not like a save jacket).

The belt fit up to a 52" waist. There is no maximum weight rating listed for this product on the TYR website. I assume that since it fits a 52" waist that you should have no problem at 260 pounds. I'm 215 pounds, love to snorkel, and it kept me on top of the water very well.
