A must for a beginner.
This book and author gets 5 stars for a lot of reasons. If you want to know the ins and outs about marketing on social media, then this one is for you. It is written for a beginner who wants or need to learn about social media, homework and all. Reading this book, made me feel as if i was in a class.I am a crafter who wants to start marketing on social media. I have a Facebook Business Page and want to upgrade to attract more customers. My main interest in buying this book was for Facebook but love that it coves all of social media. Eventually, I will use other forms of social media. I hesitate at first, but after reading a few chapters, I am gaining more confidence that I can do it. I like that the author provide additional information and will answer any questions you may have. Using worksheets and to-do-lists helps to organize your thoughts and ideas and help you to see the whole picture. Everything is explained in everyday language. Each term is explained. Using a scenario, he breaks down the steps, making easy for you to understand.

Best guide for succeeding at social media marketing
I own several Social Media Marketing books and I must say, this one is the most comprehensive and easy to follow! Jason McDonald does an amazing job explaining the perspective one must have (as a small-business owner, for example) in doing social media well. He provides tools beyond his book (accessible through links) in order to simplify our goals and keep us organized. [Thank you Jason!!] The best part, in my opinion, is that he goes into great detail on social networks like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.. because not all social media outlets were created equal. There are different ways to market your business, depending on what outlet you’re using. This book is empowering for anyone because it lists many resources and tools to boost your social media presence and target the appropriate crowd, without making you feel overwhelmed. Yet again I am impressed with Jason’s quality of subject material and I highly recommend his books. It’s evident that he’s an expert on these matters, but more so, he’s passionate about equipping people to master them too.

I bought this book because I was tired to read a lot of posts on the internet how to get more traffic with social media.Before I bought it I read all comments about it. I want to make comparison between this book and Social Media Explained by Mark Schaefer (Author) which is recommended by one of the readers pwizzy who criticize this edition in the comments and found that Social Media Explained: by Mark Schaefer (Author) is edition from 2014 and there are the warningsItem Under ReviewThis book is currently unavailable because there are significant quality issues with the source file supplied by the publisher.When I Finnish with reading it I found that This is the only book I need to manage my social accounts. Trust me I read a lot of marketing posts and I have a special Pinterest board where I kept all of them. I encourage everyone who wants to learn how to think and deal with social medias as a marketer to buy this book. Everything is explained clearly and with pictures. This book has a lot of links where particular topics are explained in depth with posts or videos. With buying this book, you will receive free Kindle edition and access to various worksheets and lot of useful tools you need to manage your blog or socials accounts.This book learns you in depth how to use social media to promote your business.Elizabeta

Good so far except…
I have just started reading the workbook and it seems to present some good information. My one complaint is that I bought the paper version so that I could write inside the “workbook”. There’s just one problem with doing that. None of the worksheets are in the book! You have to go to the author’s website over and over and print out what you need. Probably good for his SEO and collecting peoples emails, but not great if you, as the reader, are trying to work “unplugged” or if you want to keep everything in one place such as in the book itself. I just wanted to be able to actually do the work in the “workbook “.

Perfect!
Running a small company and relying on several outside companies to manage SEO and social media has been quite costly and time consuming with little to no measurable results. Stumbled across Jason's series of books on SEO, social media and marketing which has opened a whole new chapter for us in understanding and improving our business. Easy to read and understand (yes I have read other author's books to) these books opened a new world for us. While I can't do it all myself, (time is of the essence) I can now better manage the processes and drive higher results. I love the links to his website with worksheets, videos, links and other "free stuff". Some may think this is all about selling more books and products, however, he is simply practicing what he teaches and it works! Thanks Jason!
