Great German (made in Spain) knives ... so they are a little cheaper, but no degrade in quality
No bad for budget steak knives. I use them more often than my expensive German knives because they are serrated.

Sharp
My son bought me a set of Zwilling knives for Christmas and then the Zwilling flatware for my birthday but I still had old steak knives that barely got the job done so I bought these. I love them. They look great. Are nicely weighted and cut through a steak like it’s butter.

Purchased 20 Years ago
Amazon shows I purchased my first set in 2005. I'm buying another identical set today. They are perfect for everything from meats to sectioning a grapefruit. Four stars because, they don't last for a lifetime, as ZWILLING lifetime guarantee suggests. But they do go into the dishwasher, everyday. I suppose that voids the warranty. Another nice thing about these stainless steel knives; they still look as good, 20 years later, just not sharp anymore.

Knives are fine quality but the packaging is flimsy
The knives are solid stainless steel. This means you can run them through the dishwasher to your heart's content and not worry about rust or damaging the handles. They seem to be very sharp but I haven't actually used them yet. They are a great value for the price and I'm sure we will get many years of good service from them.The thin plastic retail packaging inside Amazon's padded paper bag was a joke. The plastic package had broken open during shipment and the all knives were loose inside Amazon's paper bag. Maybe they would have arrived in better shape if Amazon had shipped them in a cardboard carton with packing material. In any case, there is no way I would dare to present these to someone as a gift without repackaging them in a suitable container.

Have had 4 that I purchased 35 years ago. They slightly differed in that they have a more pointed tip. Otherwise they're identical model number and made in Spain.
