MSR Snowshoe Hyperlink Binding Strap Kit , Black

When I took off the original bindings that came with the snowshoes. It was a little bit hard to but the new straps on. The stopper was too wide to feed it through the slot. So through the other end I fed the strap through. But I had to use a flathead screwdriver to open up the slot a little more to give me more space to feed this thing through both snowshoes. But I got it done. I put on the 10 1/2" bindings on each shoe. And the other bindings I put away. The original bindings that came with the snowshoes, I threw out. And the straps are easy to feed through the ratchet to close and open. The snowshoes I have are the MSR LIGHTNING EXPLORE SNOWSHOES. Now for the test to see if my Korkers snow boots can fit through. But not with my feet in my boots. And sure enough, the bindings on both snowshoes were able to wrap around both boots. Then the other test. With my boots on my feet. Put the snowshoes on. And my leg gaiters on both of my legs. The bindings on the right and left snowshoes can fit around both of my large Korkers winter boots. So these bindings pass my test at 100%. But my question is. How come MSR doesn't have these bindings on their website ? They only have replacement straps that are the original size that comes with the shoes. Even on MSR's you tube channel, they don't mention these oversized straps. But no. I have to check on Ebay. They didn't have. And I have to check on Amazon. And there they were. The size I need. Good show Amazon. And thank you for selling the right product here for the snowshoes I have. I'm glad I bought them. I walked a little bit in my house, okay. The back bindings don't come off my heals. But if I go to Stratton Mountain in Stratton, Vermont and use them there. When I go on a snowshoe hike. That will be the real test. And hopefully the heal bindings DON'T COME OFF MY FEET. They should stay on my feet. And if I do go. I'll get back to you on a second review how it went. But I'm sure the bindings should stay on. On the front and back of both of my feet. Carry on Amazon. And keep up the good work.

Thankyou MSR!Great product, took just a minute to put in the new strap on the front of my snowshoes and move the old strap to the back, so now my snowshoes will accomodate my Salomon Aerogel boots. I'm delighted!Used a butterknife to pop the snowshoe-ends of old straps up out of the slots they sit in.Delighted to find a product that "just works", and for a good price. Great design and marketing philosophy.

I'm giving the LARGE strap kit 5 stars because I am now able to use my larger snow boots with the MSR Revo Explore Snow Shoe. The previous 6.5" front strap and 8.5" back strap were too short for me to use my bigger, warmer snow boots with those shoes. Apparently, I just needed to rotate the 8.5" strap to the front, and use the new 10" strap from the large kit on the back of the shoe to now make these ideal for me.

Was what I needed & worked very well. Had a very firm grip. Would recommend.

purchase these for my MSR snow shoes to replace the straps that won't stay hooked. Either I misread the sizing or ??? these are tiny and I can't use...waste of money on my part.

the photo showed a ratcheting strap and these are the straps with holes their whole length. I will be returning.

This Older style works great.Steep price but needed them.

Had a different use for these and they worked for my project.
