Overall, this is a good basking light for my 2 20 year old RES. It's sturdy, bends and holds shape well. However, there seemed to be connectivity issues about 3 months in, I thought it was the bulb that I used because I just had to twist the bulb for it to come on. Then, it finally bunrt out 2 weeks ago, while the bulb still works with my other fixture. Seller was nice enough to offer me a replacement even thought its warranty (90 days) has expired.So I probably got a defective one. I would recommend this light, but would also advise you to contact the seller immediately if your light starts experiencing connectivity issue, rather than wait until the light to burn out completely.

If u have a different option to make the light stay up, this would be perfect, the light stand is not sturdy enough to hold light which would be a HUGE problem directly over the water

The cord was way too short!! This is clearly a lamp to use above a tank and the cord barely reaches below the tank. I made do with that issue but then after a week it started shorting out until it finally died.

Wore out in 4 months. But the customer service was wonderful and replaced it no problem. It works great when it was actually working. No problems here

Feels well made and I like the control you have over the intensity. Easy to use and not obtrusive. I am glad I bought it! Good purchase!

This is an amazing lamp. it's on of the most adjustable lamps I have ever had. great product 100% recommended

Only produces heat. No ubv. You can test with a sheet of white paper. It should shpw a bluish or purplish glow when exposed to ubv. Decent heat lamp but mismarketed as a combo lamp to im sure entice uninformed people like me tp buy it out of a nessesity for both light fixtures. Just buy them separately like everyone else. Or buy a murcury vapor bulb woth the ubv coating

I bought this for a marmoset that I was getting. I recently unpacked and set up the light only to find out that it doesn’t work. Yes, we tried different bulbs and different outlets and we got nothing.
